going LD every 10 - 15 min since recent patches`Follow

I haven't played in a week or two. Today, after downloading the patches and DirectX 9.0, but not Gates of Discord, I am suddenly going linkdead every 10-15 minutes. The problem is not my internet connection. Any ideas? Anyone else having the same experience?
