Advice on what class to Auto-level to 90?Follow

#1 Dec 04 2014 at 2:51 PM Rating: Decent
Hey all,

First off, I have my lock at level 89, love him. I have created a couple more classes I want to play, but I'm not sure which one I should use my instant 90 on. Love to get some input for y'all on which class would be best. BTW I tend to play solo, but will group with guildies at time. Here are the characters. Also willing to entertain any class besides rogue.

Druid- Tauren
Mage -Goblin
Hunter -Troll
Death Knight -Orc
Monk -Pandarian

Thanks for you time and opinions!

God, can't even imagine leveling from scratch nowadays. 100 levels with 10-20 levels between new skills.

They should have crunched the levels when they crunched the stats.

Any of them would work, I would read the descriptions and just pick the one you think you can identify or have fun with.

Oh, god, I forgot how brilliant the Inquisitor story in SWTOR is.

Darth Zash: "I very nearly changed my mind about the ritual, you know. I genuinely like you. But it was that or death, and I don't like anyone that much."
Me: "Well, that makes everything okay."

Me: "Khem Val may be a monster who eats Force users, but he's never lied to me."

Smiley: lol The humor they used in this story line is right up my alley.

Druid or Hunter. Both are easy to level 90-100 and both have useful attributes for level cap. Assuming your Lock will be your main, Hunter is great for gathering and you can have some fun hunting down cool and hard to tame pets (Ghostcrawler is my favorite). Druid is great for playing any playstyle, it has them all. Tank/Healer/DPS, Caster/Melee/Sneak, Cat/Bear/Dolphin/SometimesTree forms, and if they ever let you fly in Draenor there's nothing cooler than running off the edge of a cliff and casting druid flight form while falling.

Class doesn't matter for max level alts if their point is mostly to farm for your main, because they'll be gathering mats/making gold largely without leaving their garrisons anyway. So it's just a matter of which is most fun to level, and then which you'll want to play when you want a break from your main. If lock is your main I might eliminate the mage from your list just because another caster might get boring. Or you might, from that list, choose Druid, DK, or Monk so you can play a role other than DPS when you group.

I've got 5 100's and a couple of mid-90's now. (Blowing off too much work, clearly.) I found the hunter by far the easiest to level 90-100 and the easiest to solo with. Hugely efficient for questing and such. Group quests were never a problem at level. I haven't found the Draenor mobs to be super fast kills in the upper 90's except with her.

OTOH I play on a PVP server, which made the resto druid hugely fun, too, even for solo questing, which isn't usually all that fun in a healing spec. That's because 100's would try to gank me when I was in my 90's. I would /lol and /pat them until they ran off in disgust.

Edit: Woops, I necro'd. BAD ME.

Basically, if you post in anything except the BDT, it will result in a necro.

Dead forum is dead.
