You can also switch to Angry Birds between chapters. I'd like to see a book do that.

Did you see it? I've heard only positive things about it; if you saw it did you like it? I haven't had time to see it yet.

It's all right. Certainly better than the prequel trilogy. J.J. Abrams managed to make it relatable and not look like someone threw pastel colors on a green screen.

In my opinion, though, it is a bit too gritty compared to the original trilogy (it's almost as grimdark as Revenge of the Sith), and there are a few too many callbacks to A New Hope. Something's also off with the pacing. It feels like two movies crammed into one. It goes from newbie on a desert planet to literally blowing up another Death Star in roughly two hours, just like A New Hope, but it feels like there's too much stuff happening between point A and B - possibly because they don't just leave the planet and go somewhere else, they ******* leave and go back a bunch of times before they're finally done with the place.

And I know it was a requirement for him to be in the movie in the first place, but I did not agree with that scene. Expanded Universe and childhood fandom crushed utterly in 10 seconds flat.

Happy F'k It's Monday And The Holiday Season Is Over Day.

I still think Hamill makes a better villain than hero. fLuke Skywalker.

I enjoyed the holidays, but they were a bit crazy so it's nice to go back to the more relaxing everyday schedule.

ya i liked the movie, have seen it twice so far...

the new hope parallels are very strong, im hoping the y do not continue copying from the original 3 trilogies.

also when will people learn to make a death star that doesnt have an exploitable weakness?

Not too bad. Kinda tired, but can't complain. Got kid #3 on the way, due in June, so that's the recent excitement. Thinking I'm getting too old for this baby thing, but guess we'll find out either way. Should be fun at least. Smiley: lol

Mostly been playing Eve Online the last few months. Think I finally found an MMO I can stick with for a while, or at least longer than a month or two...

So what's the movie?

I can barely handle one six year old and some people are handling multiple spawn. Congratulations on the kid and the MMO.

245 until Deadpool. I guess trying to handle multiple kids is more difficult when you're also a big dumb kid.

One 6 year old sounds like enough excitement for any sane person. I'm envious. Though the good thing about more is they tend to watch themselves after a while. When you hear one yelling at the other to do their homework and not whine so much you know you've done something good in life.

So what'd I miss here the last couple of months? You and Joph still holding down the ever-shrinking fort it seems?

Well there's that election thing going on. That's been worth a few posts.

I need to go read about that just for giggles. I really hope gbaji has been freaking out defending every stupid random thing Trump has uttered. Would make for a happy day. Smiley: lol

And it never will be with that attitude! Smiley: motz

Aethien was always the good butts/boobs person though; it's harder without that.

I doubt tearing a hole in the sails is going to get much notice after the ship has already slammed into an iceberg.
