I was going to photoshop a penis on there and make your picture relevant to the thread, but I'm too lazy, so just pretend I did that, and it was hilarious.

Having stepped on a pinecone barefoot before, reward your cat with a 16oz porterhouse steak for eliminating the threat.

I think that would kill the cat.

Also, you do know that cats tend to lose interest in things if they stop moving right? They just bat it around a few times and then forget about it.

So there's a career fair tomorrow, and Blizzard is going to be there. Them and this network security firm called Praetorian are like my top two companies for internships.

This is going to be me:

I f*cking hate the f*cking AI of the f*cking retard horses in Skyrim.

Get them anywhere near a fight and they run around in front of my arrows until they die. F*ck those dumb pieces of sh*t.

edit: oh joy, can't say retard anymore either...

Wait until a dragon attacks while in a town.

And I can't think of a death more worthwhile than downing steak and wine. I think you get to sit next to Thor in Valhalla in that case.

Oh... I thought he meant hunting the Lego would kill the cat.

I saw nothing wrong with that argument.

So Blizzard isn't even posting their internships until, like, November. Which is useless, since most companies will already have given out offer letters about a month before that. As awesome as it would be to intern there, I can't wait around for them if there's offers sitting on the table.

Of course, I could actually not get any offers. That's still a very real possibility.

As an aside, the career fair I went to was for all of the school of Natural Sciences. It might as well have been the Computer Science career fair, though, since almost every single recruiter there (of ~150) was looking for only CS majors. It had gotten to the point that some people were posting handwritten signs on their booth saying "Comp Sci only" and the like.

I love being in high demand. It's pretty great.

If you actually get a job with Blizzard, and somehow wind up in a position with some decision-making power, please search digg's old rants and make all those things happen. Including the lore ****.

So remember my rant about how playing now felt like you were never doing anything but hitting the highest damage ability on any class? You know, never really paying attention to resources and generation, never setting up big hits, etc.?

Yeah, well, they removed the disease multipliers on DK abilities. DK is quite literally nothing but "highest damage" ability now, with no set up or symbiosis at all. Okay, there's a tiny bit in that there are two options (one Unholy ability and one talent) to increase disease durations, but I already complained about how neverending diseases devalued the value of applying diseases in the player's experience.

I don't even know what is supposed to define the class anymore.

And while I'm less disgusted with the Mage changes, I don't love them. The Arcane mana focus thing has never been interesting to me. I liked the Wrath system, when it was about negotiating making your mana last JUST long enough so that you could use every ounce of power you had. And I really don't like iconic spells being locked into specs and talents.

(Personally, I would have taken the Arcane Blast buff the actual mastery, with it having broader coverage on spells, and have let different spells affect how it increased/decreased. Then make Arcane Barrage the major burst skill, causing damage heavily scaled by the buff and even more heavily scaled on mana, and AM would be the classic clear. That way, you have all the "watch your mana" play style influence, with none of the ****** "you get weaker as your mana empties" stuff.)

I mean, I'm actually sort of fundamentally confused why any class should "feel" different to me. Other people seem to feel like they do. I don't get it. To me, logging onto any level 100 class felt exactly the same. All your abilities put in an order based on the damage on the tooltip, and you use them in that order, with procs as they pop up. No setting up attacks for most classes (Warlock DID make me put Haunt later), and not much attention to resources outside of "that resource is full, use that" for Demonology locks and Pallies.

And one of the two features I really wanted (the Heirloom tab) seems to have been moved to the "Yeah, we definitely want to add that. Some time. Yeah." The last time I had one of those (character model revamps), they said it in Wrath... and now it's coming in MoP.

I need to stop giving WoW chances. I'm clearly not going to be happy with the state of the game again, unless there's some incredibly severe design philosophy changes. It's a shame, because I DO approve of a lot that they've done in terms of the availability of endgame content.

I just hate a ton of what they've done everywhere else.
