Wow, I'm immune to MMOs. I read everything that was said about the update and not a single twinge of interest. Feels weird.

On less interesting news, I have an eclair.

I'm actually jealous.

I can't play MMO's anymore. I feel vague nostalgia, but just don't have the time that I feel I need to have fun playing the game.

Good lord, I'm in a Facebook conference with 20 people from 6 different European nationalities. And none of them are fast on a keyboard. It's the most boring **** ever. 20 minutes and they're only now getting done with the formalities.

Edit: And I really, really need to go to the toilet, but my laptop isn't charged.

What the **** is a Facebook conference?

Maybe invest in an actual conference system? Like, ANYTHING else?

Yeah, people are trying to be hip. Also, they can share stuff with each other there. I don't know, I just know that I've been staring at that chat for an hour now, and not one thing is relevant to my interests.

Wasn't really anything stupid being said, just a dozen people trying to schedule meetings with everyone doing two-finger typing. By the time one person replied to a date, someone had set another. Everything took ages.

At least I finally got to get some words in, and they moved the deadline for that documentary they want me to edit. They kept telling me that all the relevant material was on the FTP server, but there's 20 GB of video on there, spread out over 50+ files. No way in **** I'm watching 3-4 hours of video and editing it all together. I wasn't even involved in this project six months ago. Managed to talk them into giving me six 30-minute compilations of their files instead of six folders with six sub-folders full of files each.

Now I just have to cut each 30-minute video down to 10 minutes (insane editing when you think about it) so that the final product lands just north of one hour.

Hilarious how people think that just because you know your way around a computer, you're Steven Spielberg. IT and AV are not the same... two different fields of interest. I like IT; I don't give a crap about AV. But at least the work hours are ****.

I still can't think of any reason why that would be filtered.

Filtering the f-word (no, not that one, the other) is silly. Might as well start filtering random words.

I also like the part where they're filtering names of items in the games they're covering. Let's imagine, for a moment, that Natalya's Bloody Footprints dropped for me in Diablo 3. Or, hell, let's go with World of Warcraft... I just spent my Bloody Coins on a Vengeful Porcupette.

Hell, fitting and bloody aren't exatly uncommon words in games. It's beyond retarded that they're filtered but all we get is "we just copied the list from google" and nothing else.

The fun of weird words being filtered is kind of over for me and it's starting to get more and more annoying.

Discovering new ones is still sort of fun. But it's also really annoying I can't use the word gay.
