nope

choices are: pay it off, leave country with education and never pay, have debit, die

Now, to be fair, if you're mentally or physically mangled to the point where you can never work again AND you have no family who can pay it off AND you don't have a cosigner, then the debt can be forgiven.

That's right, kids. Want an education? Well, now you have to take out a loan with interest nearly as aggressive as a private loan, and you have to pay it off or we'll garnish your wages, take your tax refund, and more!

That sounds like the most moronic film ever.

edit: idiggory, now imagine a world where you're paid to go to university. Or at least one where you're unlikely to end up with more than 10k in loans even if you don't have a part time job.

Ok, one thing about Skyrim is really bugging me, you've got these ancient tombs, nobody's been in them for thousands of years and there's lit candles EVERYWHERE.

What do a bunch of zombies need candles for? It's not like they're trying to set up a romantic dinner or anything.

Or magic.

The Draugr are family members who decided to give their bodies to protect the tombs in most cases. They need some light to see the things they're protecting the tombs from, I'd assume.

Doesn't really seem like the sensible solution there, why not go for night vision or if that's not possible just go with the fact that they'll get used to the dark and have an eternity to get intimately familiar with every square inch of the place so they'll have the advantage over intruders anyway.

Sure seems better than wobbling around in the light wondering where all the arrows are coming from.

If you're annoyed about the candles, just wait until you find a barrel of fresh apples down there...

There actually are mods that remove the lighting sources from a bunch of caves, so that your torch or magelight, etc, are all that you have to go by.

They generally give you options. Like, you can just go for low ambient light, so it just becomes hard to see, not impossible. And suspension of disbelief in certain places is nice for the affect, like when you get into the larger, more grandiose tomb chambers that would be filled with candles in the core game (and the mod will give that realistic lighting, as in candle-only lighting). Also easier to accept "magic candles" when they're limited to the most important room.

Realistic Lighting Overhaul is the mob I think I use.

Hmm, after fooling around in the Warlords of Draenor beta for a while, I think I actually like what they did to the Feral Druid. Well, I don't like that they're separating Guardian and Feral Druids even more, because my heart is in the hybrid, but I like the consolidation of skills.

What I do NOT like, however, is the consolidation of my travel forms into one damn button. I could glyph it to separate them, but then I lose out on 60% speed in Travel Form.

And I'm still not sold on the new Cat Form. The tail needs more physics applied, and there needs to be multiple color options, because right now it's just sad how limited it is.

There's a new cat form? I'll have to go check that.

I did spend time trying classes today. Honestly, I just find the combat so boring now. Every class feels the same to me - it's always watching CDs and timers, and your priority list generally seems pretty short nowadays. Maybe not for all specs, but for way too many of them.

The end result is that I literally never feel like I'm doing anything I care about, ever. They've added a bunch of influence and utility to things like DK's diseases, but they've completely removed everything that gave the player a connection to the abilities.

DK diseases are fire-and-forget now. So you never think about them. And you don't even get Wandering Plague anymore to have fun with. And because you aren't thinking about your diseases, you're not thinking about the setup for your big hits anymore. So Oblit/SS are less fun. And the burst nerf on them, for PVP, doesn't help.

I meant the Claws of Shirvallah thing.

Ran some dungeons as tank and kitty...man. Well, it's not bad. Once it goes live and I get to use addons, it might just be great. I definitely like how the new DPS form allows me to cast heals without having to rely on procs. And I love how combo points now carry over from the previous target.

My god, the default UI is terrible, though. My health bar is aaaall the way up there, and everything else is aaaaall the way down here. UI made for 800x600.

Can't you unlock the UI components and move them around? I thought that was a thing.

It is? Been ages since I used the default UI.

Will have to try it out. Not having any DoT timers makes Kitty DPS hard, though.

It's been years since I've played WoW and even more years since I last saw anything of the default UI so I could very well be wrong but I think Blizzard added that functionality at some point.

Wow, I'm immune to MMOs. I read everything that was said about the update and not a single twinge of interest. Feels weird.

On less interesting news, I have an eclair.
