They are, but they also have the tendancy to fly around a bunch, giving your mana/stamina time to recharge, time for you to heal and think, etc.

Bears just jump on your face and spam their claws until you die.

It's probably better that way, I don't think I'd appreciate the excitement as much as you would. So you can have my share and such.

They aren't jumping spiders after all, they're called Camel Crickets! NSFM! (Not Safe For Mazra) http://time.com/3263725/asian-camel-cricket/ http://www.nbcnews.com/science/environment/invasive-camel-crickets-may-take-over-u-s-homes-n194231 The second link, NBC News, has a photo. The first link had one when I first opened it, but for some reason not when I re-opened it.

The Time article claims this is a new species and they're surprised at 52 specimens turning up over the course of two days. I have had these nasties in my house for ten years, and they like to gather in dark places - dozens of them at a time.

I need a cat.

Sneaky archer types can be a lot of fun. Just don't make the mistake I made in the beginning and completely neglect any kind of melee skills. Something about ending up in a tomb where there's no place to hide and having a bunch of angry skeletons with big axes wanting to hurt you. Smiley: frown
I have a shield+one hander ready for when I can't be bothered to run away/to finish things off.

I am wearing heavy armor at the moment though, mostly because that's what I happened to come across. I guess it's worth it to go with weaker leather armor if I find some?
Dual wield daggers, stealth, and bow. Kill everything. Just keep clearing out mines and gather up all the ore, then smelt the iron, then make daggers over and over to level blacksmithing. Then go and enchant the daggers to level Enchanting (but you need soul stones). But, you aren't going to like it because it's grindy. Better to clear dungeons and/or sneak around town lock-picking and heisting stuff, then sell everything to get rich and just buy good daggers when you see them or hope they drop. There are good daggers in the Thieve's Guild and Assassin's Guild quest lines too.

Enchanting is better to concentrate on because you can put soul steal (or whatever it's called) on your bow before you actually find one, and keep filling those soul stones to use to refill the good enchanted weapons you get. Do the Thieves Guild to get a good fence to dump everything you steal and do the Assassin's Guild to get a good bow. Both also have good stealthy-shooty leather armor and the Thieves Guild chest gives you extra carry for holding more drops. The Assassin's Guild also gives you a great horse that won't die that has the look of fire in its eye.

Don't worry about the strength of the armor, you can strengthen it a bit with blacksmithing. What is more important is the bonus the better leather armor gives you, like +stealth, +lockpicking, +one-handed, etc.

Not that I've played a lot of Skyrim or anything . . .

Oh yeah, be careful when guards get involved. It's easy to accidentally kill a guard during the whole melee with the dragon, even if you are using your bow. Then all of a sudden after the fight they all turn on you, along with all the citizens.

Yeah, hated that. Also Mr. minor quest giver trying to play hero with his dagger while we're at it. Smiley: rolleyes

I think it's amusing, but between the people who decided it needed to be painted, the people who decided what color it needed to be painted, the people that put in the order for it to be painted, the people who sold the paint, the people who received the paint, and the people that did the painting not one person mentioned the color?

I mean, damn, I have to go through three or four people just to get new pens.

I imagine it went something like "can you order the paint for the traffic islands?" "sure" and then "huh, pink? well whatever" x2 for the supply company and the road workers because the first doesn't know what exactly it's for and the second group doesn't give a flying f*ck.

I'm on a trip with a 9th grade class, and one of the boys fell and broke both his tibia and fibula. Never seen a leg bend like that.

The miracle of having many people in a supply line, all of whom have no clue what the purpose or big picture is, and no motivation to create more work for themselves by questioning it even if they suspect it's wrong.

Which word was it that was censored? Hint: Overlapping tags in the middle of a word kills the filter, like this "fu[b ][i ][ /b][ /i]ck" without the spaces.

I know, but in this instance making people guess had more entertainment potential. This would all be very amusing if it didn't kill so many conversations.
