Meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeh.

I'm already calling it - my weekend's going to blow. No reason, it just almost certainly is.

Fancy meal, fancy booze. Spoil yourself

Go to a local market and get fresh ingredients, maybe a nice piece of meat or some scallops or prawn, some fancy cheese and a good red wine. Some fresh fruit for a Tarte Tatin as dessert to go with a delicious sweet dessert wine. Some good tea or coffee and chocolates for after dinner.
It's damn hard for a weekend to go wrong if you spend a significant portion of it spoiling yourself.

Motherfuckers... damn is censored? Are we in a fucking catholic primary school or some shit? Jesus...

Closest quality market is pretty far, and traffic here is ******* horrible on the weekend because I live on the shore, so we get swarmed with New Yorkers and Pennsylvanians (and both are just awful, for completely different reasons).

I also really need to apartment hunt. And buy a new car. And job hunt.

The trinity of horrible things.

Even more reason to spoil yourself. Maybe go early in the morning so that most people are still asleep or tied down by hangovers?

If I was slightly more slutty, I could totally stay in the city this weekend. Maybe not in the SAME place each night, but a room's a room. Damn my Christian upbringing.

Really, though, I should try and find an apartment. And a car. At least.

You currently have a ford F150 or something like that, right? So pretty much anything with 4 wheels is going to be an improvement.

Also, I am serious about the spoil yourself thing, if you think you may have a **** weekend then spoiling yourself is a good way to fix that. I don't know if there's any type of food or booze you're really in to but that's a good place to start.
edit: are there sauna's/spa's in the USA? I mean the kind where you spend all day naked and going in and out of various saunas and baths and whatnot. It's a bit time intensive but also a great way to spoil yourself and feel very, very clean.

I wouldn't go any closer to the Jersey shore than I'd have to during the summer. You might catch a case of the stupid f you get too close, or turn orange!

edit: I'd totally go fishing if I was in Hawaii though, I normally don't give a flying **** about fishing but I bet it's lots better when you're fishing in the ocean near tropical islands rather than in a murky river or lake. Also cooking fresh fish you've caught yourself must be pretty sweet.

edit edit: I should get some tuna next week...

edit edit edit: Seriously, Dutch fishing vs Hawaiian fishing...

I was kinda hoping to hang out with a guy in the city this weekend, but he's caught up with work, so it probably won't happen.

I think I found the people in this hemisphere on Steam, Europeans seem to be harder to track down. Smiley: frown

Is there some trick to it, or am I missing something? Not that those are mutually exclusive or anything...

I don't mean the time travel stuff. I meant the pure "wait, what, that's not what happened" stuff about the event that Garrosh decided to crash.

Don't comic books constantly retcon anything and everything?

Okay, think I figured everyone out. Either that or a bunch of random people got invites. Smiley: lol

Fair enough. Fortunately, I don't follow any comics too closely. I'm more interested in the characters than the events.

What tends to annoy me is when a scene is really explicitly played out, and then they just change that scene to fit their needs down the line. Like, you already established the scene. You made fine details about it cannon.

In this case, Gul'Dan summons all the Orcs to a summit where they're getting a "gift" from Kil'Jaedan. That gift is Mannoroth's blood, and only Gul'Dan knows that (well, Durotan was secretly told by Ner'Zhul). They're told it'll make them powerful, but they have no clue it will bind them to Mannoroth, no clue about the bloodlust.

Gul'Dan asks who will go first (with the clear intention of the Warchief being the first), but Grom strides up and places himself first, and then drinks without hesitation. Everyone else follows, except for Orgrim (who abstains) and Durotan (who forbids his clan from drinking).

But in the cinematic, Gul'Dan is cajoling Grom into drinking, Grom knows he'll be a slave to the demons, Mannoroth is there... it just makes no sense.

I mean, I could possibly explain away Grom's hesitation by him knowing he'd be a slave, but frankly it's hard to see him actually refusing at that point in time anyway. And that still doesn't explain why Mannoroth would be there (when they were intentionally keeping him secret from the clans).

Oh god, according to Bodhi they're not quite retcons because it's an alternate universe.

This is a cinematic that's the past events of "35 years ago" in an alternate timeline. Not like he's causing an alternate timeline by going back in time, he's actually traveling to a completely different time stream. It's not like he changed something and time branched.

That's just awful.

I asked Bodhi to clarify, because I haven't been following the story since it was apparent how bad it would be. I'll also probably stop posting about it here, since there's no point in derailing our boredom when there's a thread in the general forum.
