You probably wouldn't like it. Cheesy sci fi, and it's awesome.

But it's not the typical cheesy sci fi, where it's unintentionally cheesy. It's WELL AWARE of how cheesy it is, and it rejoices in it, and it has solid plot points and characters, too.

That said, I've only seen the first season, so I don't know how it develops. People love it though.

Yeah, I'm not a Sci-Fi fan to begin with so that's probably not something I'd enjoy.

Season 1 trailer:

Eddie McClintock is hilarious as the male lead, and the chemistry between him and the female lead is awesome.

If you liked the first season, Digg, you should watch the rest sometime. It only gets better after Aaron Ashmore joins the crew. Unfortunately, the show got cancelled after the fourth season, but they scrounged up enough money to do a couple more episodes to end the main storyline.

Best quality I could find. The show is five years old, though.

Some Mondays are worse than other Mondays...
I just got on my bike to go do some grocery shopping, only to realize once I got to the shop that I had already done grocery shopping this morning. Then I emailed a client and forgot to attach the stuff I made -twice- and noticed that there's been a cup of coffee standing on the counter since this morning.

I need a drink...

Hadn't but the nerd quotient here is pretty high most days, sometimes it takes a bit extra to make that needle move.

I've been doing more iced coffee lately, because hot weather sucks. Add some alcohol and ice to the leftover coffee, a bit of whatever flavoring you prefer, and you can't go wrong.

I feel your pain, Aeth.

Mondays can **** off for all I care. Woke up early because of a thunderstorm, so I got maybe an hour of sleep tonight. The thunderstorm decided to finish with a massive downpour for the first time in three weeks. Spent six hours at work in wet clothes. Also, the school reform has been implemented, which means I'm required to stay at work until 3 PM, so that was nice, considering I was done at 2 PM. I'm also no longer allowed to take work home with me, so the million things I wanted to do tonight are on hold until I get back to work tomorrow.

How can anyone work like that? It's insane! My mind does not work on a 9-to-5 schedule. It feels like the government is holding a gun to my head and ordering me to be creative and inspired on command. Does not work!

Spent all day making sure the people that went to Afghanistan got off the plane and to their temporary lodging all right. Get to go home Friday for good. Sorry for taking your luck today, Aeth. Smiley: frown

That's how I feel a lot of the time, except with instructions that say "make something that looks nice" but mean "I expect you to read my mind".

That said, teaching is a difficult job. My dad used to be a P.E. teacher for years but he eventually burnt out because the school he taught at was going down in quality from mismanagement and being in a relatively poor part of the city so he felt he was more of a police officer than a P.E. teacher when he had to tell the kids not to kick the light switches and too many kids refused to participate.

Tangent aside, I feel for you, teaching is a difficult enough job as it is without the government making it harder for no good reason.

LIES.

I'll grant that hot and cold coffee are very different beverages. Same with tea. But both forms are delicious.

If you want a cold drink, why not just drink beer?

Well, beer is a depressant and coffee is a stimulant, so different purposes.

Yeah, pretty much. And when it's really freaking hot outside, I don't want hot coffee/tea.

I drink iced coffee in the warm months, and hot coffee in the cold months, more or less.

Beer makes you happy though, and coffee doesn't work too well as a stimulant if you're used to it.
