Thanks. I try to only celebrate four zeroes, or it'd end up like spam. Smiley: lol
Didn't think you'd be concerned with that.

For slower posters I can see the point, but for me it'd be like celebrating Wednesdays.

Interesting. I wonder why, but I don't care enough to read through 18 pages of it. It's all written in fancy English and would take ages to look up in the thesaurus.

Their conclusion was basically "We don't know, but if you give us more money we may be able to figure it out."

Scientists.

Not really pina colada, way less coconut and way more lemon and lime.

That's more appealing. Not a huge fan of coconut liquids.

It still has a coconut taste but it's much lighter. The taste is almost closer to a Mojito without the mint.

Coconut is delicious, just not when it's the dominating taste. Brillliant in curries though.

Yeah, that. I don't dislike it, just when it takes over a dish or a drink. Kind of like pineapple.

You think I could get good pineapple here? Thousands of miles away from where they're grown.

Maybe?

We manage to get good pineapple from time to time, but have never found a consistent source, nor any real way to tell what's good prior to tasting it.

Fresh fruit is so much better than even slightly less fresh fruit.

I spent quite a few summers picking apples as a summer job and apples fresh from the tree are a million times better than when you buy them in stores, especially around this time a year when they sell the last bits of last year's harvest before you get the new apples.

So I was watching some Tour De France, interesting stats on the cyclists is that with the current heat (30-35°C) they need to go through around 12 liters of water and 8000 calories a day just to have the energy to keep going.

edit: also, they need to consume that for the most part while also cycling up and down mountains as fast as they can, which makes actually digesting anything a brutally difficult task for your body.
And keep in mind that these guys weigh around 130-150lb, they're consuming a fifth or a sixth of their body weight in water alone.
