I'm probably going to end up going with the s5, but that is a nice price for the specs.

I think given the contract my work uses, the s5 will end up being around the same given hardware upgrade incentives.

I'm still in windows, there are a few too many applications I need to use that only work or work better in windows.

I also like the simplicity of it just working. The mac users are always having problems hooking up to vpn's or mail servers etc.

i currently use a windows laptop, work issued, for VPN stuff. it was a bit of work to setup with the IT people on the phone as it was not correctly configured when it arrived at my home.

plus a bunch of the company intranet sites required IE8 to work properly...

mail took all of 10s to set up but the VPN stuff can be annoying

Wait, what? I checked the IMDb page for the Warcraft movie because I saw that Travis Fimmel (the guy who plays Ragnar on Vikings) was going to be in it. They cast Ben Foster as Medivh? So apparently the movie is going to be set in the early days, huh?

It also says it's in post-production. Interesting. I guess.

Specs are at work unfortunately, I don't know them off the top of my head. We're getting 3 nice new ones for the lab, 12 cores, 16ish GB of ram, 500gb SSD data volumes and such. The one I get for personal use will be your generic mid-range desktop computer. Though I did snag me another monitor. Smiley: cool

For a second I thought you were still talking about phones and I got very confused cause who actually wants a windows phone? And I read something about the newest Android getting manual controls for the camera which would be @#%^ing sweet.

edit: link, Android 5.0 will even support RAW images Smiley: inlove

I need more free time. Then I'll post more.

Been so busy at work...

I'm actually at work now. Well, technically I'm early for work, hence the +1ing. We are running a weeklong conference this week, and I'm the point person between us and the hotel. I'm hoping to have time to sleep this week...

Best to have a pillow in case you can't get away with getting yourself a room for free.

If it's a bigger conference, they've probably booked the penthouse for a casual meeting area in the evenings, which come with bedrooms, but are fully justified.
