They show it on TV, that's good enough for me.

Stand at the side somewhere and yell "OH GOD HE'S GOT A BOMB!" then watch the show.

Oh, also I'm getting a new fridge delivered tomorrow. It's going to be a good day because it's a bigger fridge so more room for beer.

Dear America: you're not the only ones with religious crazies.

Quote:
Jumbo Barneveld had all the 'cheering suits' and promotional material of Roy Donders removed. Reason: the religious community does not appreciate the "satanic" name of Tilburg's TV celebrity.

"Donders" being what they have a problem with which literally translated means something along the line of thunders and is kind of an old fashioned swearword with about the gravity of "darned".

I mean, I can totally see why they think there's something very, very wrong with this guy but I don't think his surname is the real problem.

In the 90s we had people protesting video games because a monkey pees on a dinosaur to death.

If no one dies it's just everyday crazy. Now if they kidnapped the guy, performed a exorcism and ritualized sacrifice...

Or maybe bombed heathens to take their oil...

Or if you at least had to be religious to be elected...

Religious political parties here have been suffering badly over the last decade, mainly the largest one more or less falling apart. Even the Christians don't vote for a christian party anymore.

edit: someone went and checked and the store in question does sell Duvel which is a Flemish word for devil, so "donders" is too satanic but "Duvel" is perfectly fine.

Nah, my "dressy" Army Service Uniform. Much more ridiculous.

That guy standing second from the left. He's got a nice hat.

But that General standing in the middle - something about his tie. It's definitely not centered.

Also, let me catch up: I haven't seen the Hobbit movies but they're too long if digg says so; fridges are for beer, beer, and Ben & Jerry's ice cream; Xsarus is still cool even though he doesn't agree with digg, so I'm going to keep trying to rate him up; nice truck Fish; Pet Sounds is awesome; and Maz - the older teachers are talking about you in the teacher's lounge when you aren't around.

O.K., back to work.

(Oh, I just noticed! Another 80 or so posts and I'll break 2k! So, maybe the beginning of next summer if I push it.)
