It was what I was working with right before bed, and was stressing out about before the final I was about to take.

So Digg, I'm really late and am just now learning about the Star Wars EU Cull.

How are you taking it? Are you going to be OK? I don't k of any grief counselors in your area, but I'm sure we could look up something.

Till when are your finals?

Which reminds me, Kali is taking her very last final today, probably at this very moment.

You know, that's always been at the back of my mind as something I've wanted to do, but considering I don't grow enough to take advantage of it I think it'd be kind of a waste. Add it to my retirement plans I guess.

Fantastic guy, and fairly cheap. $20 for the shave, $25 for the haircut. Did a great job, really nice.

I get a crappy haircut for $6 every three weeks, ya goof. Against regulations to have a beard. If I'm going to a shop to get a shave, I want to get my money's worth, yannow?

Good Luck with finals fish. They'll be over before you know it. Soon after that you'll be done with school, and before you know it you'll be finished with the advanced degree and will launch into a career. Soon after that you'll be looking to retire and spend your final years enjoying the great outdoors.

Oh ****, your life's over already bud!

There. I fixed it for you.

Thanks, cyn. Smiley: tongue

So, this was a day, and what a day it was. Started out awesome, until I opened my eyes and observed that it was far too bright compared to when I normally wake up. I looked at my phone to turn off the alarm and found that the noise that had woken me wasn't the alarm but two missed calls from my boss. Eyes flew to the clock, and I discovered that it was well into first period...

Cut to 40 minutes later... walk of shame to my boss' office. She just smiled and told me to hurry to the third period or I'd owe my students even more foam kisses (seriously, guys, what kind of a name is that?)

Cut to just before I went home. My boss comes up to me and asks me to join her in her office for a serious talk. My heart skipped a couple of beats. Once in her office, she started asking me about why I was late for work. I thought she was going to kick my *** to the curb, being a substitute teacher and all. Instead, she asked me if I was interested in a full-time job.

Ladies and gentlemen, my boss is ******* awesome. Also, the day is now in balance.

Beltane photos, I might add a few more later but these are the first couple I edited.

Edit: Not entirely safe for work/google since there's some semi naked painted bodies in there, no sensitive parts particularly recognizable though.

commie-fascist-hippie-lazy-socalist people. Smiley: disappointed

Really the trick is to get in early normally. That way you can oversleep, and still have time to wake up and call in sick before your boss shows up and realizes you're not there. Smiley: nod

Concert series is awesome so far. If you are able to you should go to the show on Thursday. Only $25

The chances of me being able to get into the city are super slim (otherwise, I'd have offered to buy you a drink; you couldn't come in any other week?). Smiley: frown

Smiley: frown unfortunately this is when the concerts are. This is the last year however, they won't be doing the series again, which I think is a shame, as it's pretty cool.

Fate didn't even want to pretend I had a chance. Didn't get out of work until after 8 (had been there since 7:30 a.m.).

@Fishy

I'm actually okay with the EU cull. The universe had grown way too large with how little oversight it had along the way. And I frankly find a lot of the ABY plot lines, once you peel off the nostalgia effect, to be quite bad. EU Luke, to me, is such a terribly written character. His plot lines aren't interesting, his development isn't interesting, and what he brings to the universe isn't interesting. Leia/Han and their family is way more interesting.

So now they're going to keep all the main details of the universe, but actually give the editorial oversight to the plot that it should have had all along.

The plus side is that it seems most of the stuff that happens before the movie era is safe (Old republic through the Darth Bane stuff). I'm curious if they'll keep Darth Plagueis though.

I have one, and I'm usually there early, and I generally leave late, so "certain, assured" is really just the lie they tell us.
