I've been gone for 3 years...since before Cataclysm...

Is it worth coming back?

Is it still fun?

Since before Cata? Smiley: eek

Did you ever do the zones over when they didn't the old world at the end of WotLK? Cause that's all sorts of stuff to see if you haven't. I come back periodically. It's fun to see changes and catch up with people. Things are different now.

Sub for a month, or play some of the free time if they're giving it to you. Smiley: nod

Yeah...I think my last post here was March of 2010.. I did some WotLK endgame stuff, got bored and busy and quit again after having quit for a good while around the beginning of WotLK.

Just looking for something in my spare time now, not gonna be a raider. Waaay too much stuff going on most of the time for that.

Just wondering with all the changes how everyone felt.

If nothing else the game is a lot more casual friendly than ever before.

Well lets see, a short list of highlights maybe?

WotLK:
Old world changes means all the zones have been redone. The world is less dangerous, but there's better stories.
LFG: Randomly groups you up with people to complete dungeons.

Cata:
Worgen/Goblin: new races with new zones to explore.
Transmog means you can change the look of your armor; no more mismatched and ugly sets.
LFR: Randomly groups you up with people to complete easy-mode raids.
Flying in Azeroth, it's just cool in the beginning.

MoP:
Pet battles: fight your companion pets. Yay pokemon.
Cross-realm zones: People from other servers are out in the world with you while you're questing.
Monks & Pandas: new class and race.
Scenarios are small 3-person mini-dungeons of sorts.
You get a farm to take care of.

If you're http://wow.allakhazam.com/users/Galenmoon , get ahold of DF and she can help you get your actual account back.

I did send an email in to the email listed under the help section. A few hours ago. I was out playing softball for a few hours and just got back. Haven't seen any reply.

Well I'm buying Cata and going to get a month of game time and see what I think. That will show me if it's even worth buying PandaPlayTime

Also, yay for remembering my email!

SPG said it, LFR. This lets you see the raids, but as said it is super easy mode. Currently all raids have an LFR mode. Each new raid's LFR came out week(s) after, and some times only in sections.

I just wanted to add, I did NOT like Cata. I only played about 3 months when it came out and quit. I came back for MoP and have been playing for...however long it has now been out (7 months?). About a month ago I stepped out of Raiding as it was not going well for my group, but hopefully here in the next few weeks we can rebuild and get back to it. I've enjoyed it much more.

I overall like the changes in MOP (aside from the butchering of Feral), but the story just doesn't catch me. I find myself doing quests without even caring about what's going on. Honestly, it feels like the game has finally shed what ties remained to the Warcraft RTS and is now doing its own thing. I just don't feel connected to it, anymore.

Not to mention that leveling up 10 characters is downright boring at this point. I'm 88 on my Druid, but I feel like I should've been 90 already. Too much content to sift through per level. I'm not even out of the first zone in Pandaria.

Will say that the voice acting is a nice thing. They began doing it in WOTLK and in MOP it's just downright silly how much voiced dialogue there is. It's nice. It's nowhere near SWTOR, but it's nice.
