A Sad Time in WoWFollow

Since you didn't seem to get the memo, we're not Blizz employees around here. It's highly unlikely Blizz is reading your thread. So we have not "suceeded in royally ******** up this game that I have played for some time now".

Go post this on the Oboards. If you have questions or legitimate discussion, I'm sure many of us would be happy to oblige. But griping is just annoying and best saved for the Oboards.

I'm not going to respond to your other points, but wanted to mention a few things here.

Warlocks are demonologists: they command the demonic armies of The Burning Legion. Death Knights are necromancers: they command the undead armies of The Burning Legion. The playable classes, Warlock and Death Knight, have supposedly "turned away" from their evil pasts and now use their abilities to help their respective factions.

TL;DR: Your Warlock has always had "demonology crap" (there's a talent tree called Demonology). Death Knights do not have "demonology crap" (they have "undead crap").

I wasn't too happy when I found out that some folks in Armenia, Azerbaijan, Israel and Iran named some villages after me. Don't worry, though, Noc. As long as you have boobs, we will like you infinitely more than anyone else named Noctu-something.

You're free to complain all you want, nocturne84, but people here are also free to respond to your complaints. That's how a forum works.

As for off-topic posts, it's sort of our thing here. If a thread is deemed boring or useless (regardless of whether or not it is), people have a tendency to derail it until someone rerails it. In this case, I used the old "boobs and beer" rule of the WoW forums, derailing Noc's derail into talk about boobies. It's good stuff.

Poldaran is right, though. You wrote "you have succeeded in..." implying that we, the recipients, are somehow responsible for this, indicating that you might be under the impression that this site is run by Blizzard. It's not. It's a fansite dedicated to many popular MMO games, including World of Warcraft (the sub-site you're currently on). A lot of new posters mistake us for the official World of Warcraft forums, so it's not unusual that people write posts like yours, which is why Poldaran simply suggested that you write your complaint in the official forums, where Blizzard might actually see it.

And Rare was just trying to help you by posting a link to a very useful website filled with guides on every specialization of every class.

No one's saying you can't complain. Feel free to do so. I've done it many times, and still do, because I feel that Blizzard butchered my favorite class through seven years in an attempt to homogenize an already over-homogenized game. Active mitigation sucks when you're forced to be proactive. But many people disagree, which is their right just as much as it is my right to be of my opinion.

A wise man once told me that one should be tolerant of everything except intolerance. It's a paradox, being intolerant of intolerance, but what it means is that you should be less critical of free advice. Someone is bound to be of another opinion than you and sometimes you can learn a lot from that. For instance, after my discussion with Astarin about the Druid class (in the General forum), I've now come to realize that this isn't the end of the world (of Warcraft, luls). It's just a bump on the road.

So, yeah, you're free to complain all you want. We all have to vent some anger and frustration once in a while. No one is forbidding you from doing so. Just don't get personal or harass. Admins don't like that. And expect other posters to comment on your venting since you do post it for public view here.

That said, you have to keep the ratio to a reasonable one. If every time we see a name we roll our eyes and think "What is this nubwipe ******** about this time?" then you're out of balance. And when you're out of balance, you've gone feral, and no one wants that. So man up and buff the casters like a good boomkin.



Okay, I'm gonna be honest, I kinda got lost halfway through typing that one.

No problems, will just concentrate on EQ (raiding endgame content atm) and maybe try guildwars 2
As far as Wow is concerned, I used this game as a simple diversion because of its simplicity and ease of soloing but will delete my account now

An inhabitant of The Netherlands is also called a Netherlander, which makes more sense, since there's no such place as Dutchland. My guess is that someone thought they were German (Deutsch) and the ball rolled on from there.

Did I ever tell you about the word "window" and its origin?

This thread's cliffhanger is entirely unacceptable.

Deutsch/Dutch is kinda just a term for "our own people", as opposed to "weird foreigners". So it makes sense in Germany. I think the Dutch are called that in English due to some migration happening at some point.

And the window thing is cool. I hate that the Urdu word for window makes no sense to me.
I can't even remember it now.
