Pet Question Follow

#1 Mar 09 2011 at 8:38 AM Rating: Decent
As I near cap, I have decided to go Affliction for PVP and Destruction for PVE. Now when I am Destruction (which I have been the last few levels), I generally stick with the Imp for my pet. Is the imp still applicable in Raids and the like? My other spec, Affliction, I will be doing a little world PVP but mostly Battlegrounds and Arena. I was thinking Felhound with a macro to spell lock someone, but is there a better pet now for affliction? I haven't seriously PVP'd with a lock since BC.

Thanks.

Destro PvE: Imp
Afflic/Demo PvE: Succubus
Demo multi target PvE: Felguard

For PvP, you use the Succubus or the Felpuppy. Dunno which is advised for general usage, but the dog is better against casters, the Succubus against melee.

Okay, thanks. I'll probably just switch between Succy and Felpup as needed then for PVP.

Don't ignore Big Blue either. Consume Shadows while guarding a flag/node/etc =)

and blue's bubble as well. That thing is a lifesaver. Smiley: smile

I tend to use the blueberry anytime I'm guarding or playing defense. It makes it a bit harder for rogues/ferals to get the jump on you, as you have the stealth detection and can bubble once you get jumped, giving you time to recover and others a chance to attack them.

I like having the Succy out when I'm attacking or outnumbered, as it does a lot to even the odds. I've had trouble using the puppy as a reliable interrupt during PvP, but that's probably because we're not always focusing on the same target.
