LoL i have not the patience for that, the blue skin is the only one i haven't found as a corpse so far. (imo blizzard should just make all the rare pets friendly to everyone but hunters)

Things die fast enough that I haven't ever really bothered with tanking pets. I had been using a fox (love the dance it does) and then one day while flying around doing archeology, I saw He-Mans Battle Cat and thought it looked interesting.

Pretty much. It needs to be pleasant to the eye and not making any annoying noises, especially while leveling. In addition to that, I prefer them being really easy on food.

So I guess if I'd actually bother with a tanking pet, it would still be a bear...

Mend pet glyph, can't get much easier on the food than that.

It makes me feel a little guilty though. Instead of feeding my pet I just pat it on the back and tell it to go chew on another gnome.

Bah, who cares about realism?

I don't want to have to feed my pet, ergo Mend Pet glyph is the best thing ever. Smiley: motz

I just imagine that my pet is eating the gnomes.
That's why I PvP, a diet of only npc's isn't good for my pet and it needs some fresh player controlled gnome every now and then to stay healthy.

For sure, though when I finally break down and PvP, I think I'll be using a monkey.

I'll just keep myself happy by thinking my monkey is reaching out for bananas in the treetops while I'm flying on my flying mount.
