I can't find anything in the game about this, and it's probably nothing but...

I notice when I log in, my Lock (only level 36) has three Soul Shards, and they're the same colour. (I have a habit of casting [Soul Harvest] before I log out, it's always nice to log back in at full health and mana and shards, etc...).

But after I've used a few Soul Burns, and then replenished my Soul Shards, I notice that they are sometimes a different colour. Or one of the three might be a different colour (either lighter than the other two, or darker). Is there any significance to this?

my guess is either ur eyes are dodgy, your monitor is dodgy or you're imagining things (mental tricks due to varying backgrounds on which the colour is superimposed, for example check out this image both A and B are actually the same colour, you can even open the image in paint and use the colour copying tool on both sections to see that they're actually the same shade

I've noticed that too and my best guess is that it's just a graphical thing.

no, my eyes are fine.
it does this on two different computers.
and apparently, someone else in this thread has noticed the same thing.

it's not a "subtle" colour difference, it a rather radical difference. as in, between a medium/dark blue and almost white.

haven't noticed it myself, but then I use the icehud addon rather than the player UI

I don't use the default UI either.

here's an image of before using soul shards, then after using them, then replenishing them.

warlock_soul_shards_before

warlock_soul_shards_after

clearly, there is a difference in colour. it's just weird and unexplained.

I know, it doesn't SEEM to be anything major.
I was only worried that I might have missed some function of the soul shards, like if you get them from one source they have this attribute, and from another source, another attribute.
