So I've been leveling a hunter, now 69, about 4 bars from 70.
Just finished the first few quests in Borean Tundra, and got myself the Fury of the Raging Dragon (blue gun).
One thing that has been annoying me to the max, is having to pop viper every other fight because I keep getting low on mana. I don't want to *stop* and drink, but yet, I have to seriously reduce my damage.
Once Cata comes out, and we get Focus instead of Mana this shouldn't be an issue, right?
Also, it will be so nice to get rid of Ammo once and for all. It only took them what, a year plus after they promised the removal of ammo? lol.
Also...
Anyone in Cata can tell me whether or not non-tank pets can actually hold aggro better, or worse in Cata vs Wrath if you're BM-specced?
My faithful Wolf (that I've had since Lv10!) has been doing fine, but I was a 69 using a Fel Iron Musket (Lv63 gun). I haven't tried using my new Blue gun yet, and I get mammoth cutters at 72 (he's an engineer). I have my doubts my dog is going to hold aggro, I keep getting Yellow aggro warnings from nothing but Serpent's Sting, 1 Arcane Shot, and the rest, Auto-Shots. If I dare use the lightning generator, I'm tanking it the rest of the fight.
I had another hunter with the same problem -- he had a Ravager that he had since Lv10 and ever since they released Wrath, the Ravager pet was absolutely useless, it couldn't hold aggro no matter what. But then, he was using a Khorium Destroyer with lots of +AP gear in gems. I wound up giving in and sticking the poor faithful Ravager in the stables and getting a gorilla. I hated doing that, though, as the poor ravager had been his faithful pet for 60 levels!
Did they fix the pet aggro issues? Or are you still forced to use tank pets if you're solo BM?
