When do pets get talent points...Follow

Well right now I'm lvling my first hunter (she's at 24) and I was wondering when pets get talent points because 5 lvls per talent seems like overkill. Is it going to be changed to be even worse in Cata as well or will we get something similar to the 1 point per 2 lvls.
