Shadow spec in CataFollow

I've been playing around with the shadow spec for a couple of levels now, and I must admit, I do like it quite a bit better now then the previous few levels of Disc. The new shadow orb talent is pretty nifty, but unfortunately only activates when you get hit with a crit attack or spell. In any case, things die just about as quickly, but currently I get mana back much easier than I have with Disc. Even though they've removed Spirit Tap, for some reason it still activates, and that's probably a large part of it. I'm quite enjoying it though. I've just been using the same rotation listed in the Shadow sticky here, and mobs are usually dead within a couple of seconds of me finishing it.

It's possible, but I doubt it. There's nothing listed on the main panel of Shadow about Spirit Tap. A guildie of mine mentioned that Blizz is trying to get rid of spirit for all spellcaster dps, and that they still get procs of some frost spell that's related to spirit on their frost mage, even though the talent is no longer in the tree.
