I have a lvl 19 blood elf rouge and talked to every rouge trainer and checked my spell book thinking maybe i missed it but the trainer doesn't have lock picking available for me (it doesn't even show up) and its not in my spell book. I'm at a lose i need it for a quest I'm doing. I hope someone can help me please.

You probably already have it. Check the general tab in your spell book.

Theo, you sure are getting soft with your old age.

OT: Good luck leveling lockpicking, it's a pain in the ***.

Since it is a royal PITA and the new xpac is coming soon, should he bother? As I thought leveling that was going away like weapon skills.

Or I'm just making sh*t up because I'm lazy, idk.

I just wanted to add this, in case you didn't know, OP.

After you intially learn how to lockpick, you no longer train with a trainer to get the next "cap" on lockpicking. As you level, you gain 5 more levels available to raise your lockpicking skill.

Just a little tidbit =)

Leveling up lockpicking is great on-the-side money while you're waiting on a dungeon or battleground queue. Just make a macro to say you're opening all lockboxes and accepting tips and you can make an easy 100g or so. It's not much, but it's an extra 100g that you wouldn't have otherwise!

Get GatherMate and GatherMate_Data. It will show the location of lockboxes on your maps. Makes the levelling proces so much easier.

You can also pickpocket humanoids and occasionally get your own locked boxes to help you level up. I've probably leveled 70% of my points this way.

Make a macro...

Pickpocket
Pause
Pause
Ambush

you gotta be in stealth first, of course. and have the target selected ;)

...or if you don't suck, you can use this macro:

#showtooltip Cheap Shot
/cast Pick Pocket
/stopcasting
/cast Cheap Shot

Because Ambush is an extremely situational opener, and you'll generally kill faster (over a session) if you use CS to open.
