I have discovered a new way to pass time in heroics.Follow

Look at this.

You might notice something there. If you don't, I will point it out to you:

I have, over the course of a random heroic, tried to do the same amount of healing with as many spells as possible. That screen shot is from one of my first attempts at this, and I have since added more spells (okay, only Prayer of Healing) to the list of things I'm lining up and also succeeded in making the differences between individual spells smaller.

Once I've perfected this, I might just glyph Dispel and see if I can work that into my little game, too. And use Holy Nova when appropriate. I find AoE heals very difficult to use if I want to achieve my goal since if everyone does take damage, they end up 7% above everything else.

Crazy OCD bored Kali out.

You know, this explains a lot of things.

Like why I died on trash that night. Smiley: mad

I'm not sure I've done this while you were in the group.

I'm also fairly certain that I've only let two people die since I've been doing it, one of them was a warrior and the other one a mage.

There's nothing wrong with any of those heals. If people die, it's because you are spending too much time looking at the meter.

Ssshh, I'm lying to get the thread moving.

I haven't had Kali heal me in ages anyway. She's all "zomg VOA25 nao" and I'm like "But Kali, I'm on my alt" and she's like "lolol log ur main stuped" and I'm like "But my main is saved" and she's like "/ignore" and I'm like "D':" and then Aeth scolds me for being emo.

True story. Well, not really, but it could've been.

Also, if I die in heroics or raids, it's because I forgot to move around macros after a respec. I was going to cast Demoralizing Roar the other night in HoR heroic and accidentally hit the macro for Nature's Swiftness + Healing Touch. The macro, if you're Feral spec'd, will shift you out of your animal form, which is very unfortunate when you're tanking.

If people die, it's because someone did something wrong. I'm willing to pause my silly games if someone needs saving, so let's just assume it's them doing stuff wrong.

Because I rarely let people die.

"Omg Heals u let me die"

"Shut up stupid, my pie chart is perfect, if I healed you, you would have ruined it, now you don't want that on your conscience do you? DO YOU?!?"

Heh, people are used to crappy healers, and I've been getting praise about amazing heals while maintaining pie chart balance. Getting better at both lining them up perfectly and keeping people topped off while doing it (keeping them topped off will make it more accurate, anyway).

Haven't bothered the last few days, Ahune sort of throws me off balance a bit because I can not do it over the duration of one fight.

The past few days I've been asking people to be bad players. Stand in void zones, run into cleaves, have the dps taunt, etc. I basically want people to challenge me, something that doesn't happen at my level of gear in heroics.

Results so far have been pretty good. It keeps me on my toes, and it's good practice for raids. You have to pay attention to throw that mage a quick shield + penance, or that pally a Pain Suppression.

Plus, I'm actually doing something, whereas before I was playing Bejeweled and glancing at my Grid every once in a while. There's more damage flying around which ultimately makes it more fun for me.

I also rejoice when I see a tank that's not defense capped, or - even better - using a 2hander as a paladin. He was an awesome tank.

I think it's fun for them too. The tank can run ahead and pull all the mobs in the hallway, or the dps can throw curveballs my way by death gripping something to them or the like. It's all in good fun, and if someone dies, they know that it just means they went a little too far and a rez is on the way.
