4pt10 with the legsFollow

Hey all. I've been saving badges for the 4pt10, and as much as I'd love to get the badges for the primordial saronite for the leggings of woven death as well, it's just too much for me. A friend of mine told me before that there was another setup to use, where you take the legs but replace another piece of the set with something else. I was just wondering if anyone else had heard of this setup and what the replacement piece would be? Thanks

Hmmm, interesting question, and one that could spark a lot of debate about the best itemization. I am going to caveat my comments by saying a lot depends on your other gear slots and spec. Also, I am just going to speak about i264 items to keep things on a similar playing field.

If you are going to have 4pT10 and not get the crafted legs (though I think this is optimal), I'd advise either losing the T10 gloves or chest.

I think the lock T10 gloves are somewhat weak. You can obtain the Gunship Captain's Mittens from the lootship battle as a substitute. They have slightly less hit than the T10 gloves, and exchange crit for haste. The spellpower is 10 less, but it has an extra (RED!) gem slot and a +7 sp bonus instead of +5 sp, so that shouldn't be a concern. If you don't need the hit, the 60 frost badge Gloves of False Gestures keep the crit, add some haste, and again only offer 122 sp but with 2 yellow slots and a +7 sp bonus.

Alternatively, you could opt for not having the T10 chest and instead get the 95 frost badge Meteor Chaser's Raiment. It loses some crit in favor for haste, has slightly less spellpower than the T10, but makes up for it with an extra blue gem slot and a +9 sp bonus instead of +7 sp.

Just some suggestions.

Frost chest is BiS before hardmodes, go with non-tier gloves as well. If 4 pc, I'd go chest over gloves.

218 Spell Powr/118 Haste/84 Crit/+3-6 Spell Power based on Spell power from Spirit

Meteor Chaser's in comparison to T10=
+5SP(+3-6) / +16 Haste / -26 Crit

To me, this is so close the Meteor Chaser's Raiment are a terrible choice for your emblem purchase.

I did the math below to illustrate Spirit's Contribution based on available buffs.

Spirit's Contribution to Spell Power wrote:
Human Warlocks /w Improved Fel Armor and Glyph of Tap
10*1.1*1.03((0.3*1.3)+0.2)=11.33(0.59)=6.6847sp

Human Warlocks /w Improved Fel Armor
10*1.1*1.03((0.3*1.3)=4.4187sp

Human Warlocks /w Glyph of Life Tap
10*1.1*1.03((0.3)+0.2)=11.33(0.5)=5.665sp

Human Warlocks w/o Imp FA/GoLT
10*1.1*1.03(0.3)=3.399sp

Other Warlocks /w Improved Fel Armor and Glyph of Life Tap
10*1.1((0.3*1.3)+0.2)=6.49sp

Other Warlocks /w Improved Fel Armor
10*1.1((0.3*1.3))=4.29sp

Other Warlocks /w Glyph of Life Tap
10*1.1(0.3+0.2)=5.5sp

Other Warlocks w/o Imp FA/GoLT
10*1.1(0.3)=3.3sp

Can't seem to edit, however my math above is assuming Blessing of Kings is available in all scenarios.
