Need some help pleaseFollow

I have been leveling a lock as affliction, but wanted to try out demonology to prevent getting bored. My problem is, I have no clue about anything to do with Demonology. I think I have the "rotation" figured out, but Im positive I screwed up the spec.

Im leveling in battlegrounds except for a few instances in the beginning of each bracket to update my gear. What Ive seen so far since I switched specs is my SP is much higher and my spells hit/tick for more damage, but my survivability seems to have dropped drasticaly. I can survive and extra hit or 2(3 with metamorphasis), but I die more often due to lack of siphon life and instant howl of terror.

After reading the stickys again and playing around for a couple hours I came back here to ask for your help.

Are the specs in the sticky still good? Or has a better spec come out since the sticky was last updated? Also what glyphs are prefered for PvP?

Metemorphasis. This talent totaly confuses me. I get what it does, and the abilities that come with it are cool, but whats the point? Is it just another dps boosting CD to use on bosses? Or maybe a button to push if you need to survive 1 more second in pvp? This talent really seems like a waste to me, the dps boost it gives seems wasted having to run into melee range to use the special abilities and then run back out when it wears off. Clarification on this talent would be greatly appreciated.

After playing around with some talent calculaters I settled on a hybrid spec. Went down demo to felguard, then over to afflic for siphon life. I skipped decimation. It looks nice for dps, but I wont ever be raiding or PvE with this toon. And there doesnt seem to be enough time to stand and cast soulfire even with the reduced cast time in BGs. I know hybrid specs lack the punch of a full tree spec, but this toon is for fun, and when I hit 80 and start arenas I'll switch back to Haunt/SL.

Thanks for the clarification on Metamorphasis, Im glad Im not the only one who thinks its a waste.
