I am debating between Mining and JC, Mining and Tailoring, or Tailoring and Enchanting. I think the latter may be too expensive, but is Tailoring worth it more than JC? Any help would be great thanks.

Enchanting = 46 SP

JC = 48 SP

Tailoring = Lightweave Embroidery (295 Haste for 15 seconds, high proc rate, 45 sec ICD) for the equivalent of 74-98 Haste (lower end if ICD is triggered on expiration of effect, higher if it is triggered on proc--I'd wager for the latter).

Mining = 50 Stam

The best combination, DpS wise, would be Tailoring/JCing for most specs. However, that WILL be expensive. However, Tailoring/Enchanting is JUST behind that, and the two work extremely well together. You can cut your losses while leveling up Tailoring by DEing your goods and using them to level enchanting (and, if you are smart about it, you can put the enchants on Vellums and sell them).

Engineering is also one that will give you a very nice DpS buff, due to their Hyperspeed Accelerators, the slightly better cloak enchant and the boot speed ability. But, since you'll really have to take Mining with it if you don't have a high level mining toon, I stick with recommending Tailoring/Enchanting.

However, Mining/JCing is a decent alternative if you are the type that likes to farm mats for the AH. Lower DpS, but it isn't like you are gaining a MASSIVE buff from any of the professions. It' actually quite small overall (like 25 DpS small).

I don't have a lot of money, and my character is still lower level, but I want to craft even though I know it takes time and money. I think enchanting would take me too long, but to go with mining, I was thinking either tailoring or JC. I don't know which would be better. I think it would be great to craft your armor, but I hear that by the time you are able to use it, quest rewards are about as good.

As for JC, I am not sure if it would work in the long run since there are only 6 item slots(head, neck, 2 ring, 2 trinket) that it would be useful for, though I am relatively new so maybe I am mistaken. Any other advice? Thanks.

It's not just what you can make to go in item slots that is important. A lot of high level (end game) equipment comes with gem slots that can be used to boost your stats, and there are a wide range of gems that a jeweller can make to fill these slots (although as a warlock there are preferred gems), including some that only a JC can use.

Depending on your server's economy the best gems may be in the region of 130G to 150G at the AH so being able to make (and sell) them yourself can save a lot of money. And given that you may have 10 gem slots thats a lot of gems to buy.

One thing you should consider is why you are taking up a profession; Is it to directly benefit your character (by enchanting your own equipment for example), or are you trying to make money? Remember though that you can drop a profession and chose a new one later in the game.

Since you don't have a lot of money it may be worth spending a few levels just farming mats and selling them on the AH to make yourself some money before switching to another self-help professsion. Of the choices that you give Mining / JC will probably give you the best AH returns.
