Feedback and ? about Warrior's in PvP and PvEFollow

#1 Apr 15 2010 at 11:32 PM Rating: Decent
What up all. I just wanted to get some feedback from experienced players on this subject. I am currently leveling a Warrior mainly to PvP and PvE with (arena too). I just wanted to know how they fair in the overall situation. I already know they can take a beating. But can they drop a caster fast if they wanted to. Can they, if geared for it, do some serious dps to players in short bursts. Also what is their survivability like? Meaning can they get out situations that is clearly a death sentence? My main is a 80 mage. So I am use to the nuking and running away in most situations. As far as PvP is I am still trying to learn how to kite without dying. Any who enough with my rambling on. Any feedback is appreciated. Thank you

Arms PvP thread on WoWhead

Your post is pretty vague but I think you're just asking for a general appraisal of the class? And all of your interest seems to be PvP.

Arms is generally considered the PvP tree, so start there. Shouldn't be difficult to figure out why. Fury and Prot have some great PvP ability as well, but that's a whole other thread.

I've found that PvP on a warrior isn't like a caster or even a rogue. Warriors are about pressure, pushing the action by staying on top of opponents and having excellent mobility (fear break, charge, etc) with a certain amount of control thrown in. Personally, I don't find myself kiting often unless I'm trying to get a ranged class into charge range. But I do find myself looking for trouble, constantly trying to find "who's next" in battlegrounds. Arena is a whole other banana and not an area I know much about in the current season.

Really, most of your questions will be answered by doing. Get into the leveling bracket battlegrounds and start working on your game. Nothing we can say in this thread can really compare to hands-on experience.

Also. Get your trinket. It's really the only piece of PvP gear that you really "need" for battlegrounds.

I disagree if there is any pvp area where you can get away without having a trinket i would say battlegrounds are it. Sure it helps but fact is you will use it on one person and the next 5+ people are gonna ***** with you harder because of the cool-down. I would suggest finding other options as a warrior you have more open to you then other classes in that respect.

On this same note as was said already warrior pvp is unlike any other class, you are constantly running around picking a fight with anything and everything, your the first one in the fight and the last one to leave while still needing to keep track of your defenses and life more then others.

At least that is how i play. Also note this only applies to battlegrounds if you go into arena without the pvp trinket you might as well forfeit.
