Help with upgradesFollow

I stopped playing my druid 6 or 7 months ago when I lost my job. I just started him back up recently and his gear is severly under par. I still have the health I need to tank heroics, but when the dps is over geared Im having threat issues.

When looking at the possible upgrades from the new heroics I see that I can greatly increase my agi, but its at the cost of a ton of stam. I dont have the time to dedicate to raiding right now, so Im trying to farm emblems to upgrade to the T9 set, but what should I go after for the non tier pieces? Does the increase in agi(dodge) make up for the loss of stam? Like I said its been way too long since I played this toon, and Im feeling a little lost. Any help with gear or even spec is greatly appreciated.

Oh and as for spec, I took points out of brutal impact and imp mangle so I could get master shapeshifter for the extra damage to help with my threat issues. Was this a good choice until I can get better gear?

Thanks again

The trend is basically to stack as much stamina possible and neglect all other stats since they don't directly effect your HP. Since your HP will be a bigger number people will think you're a much better tank. If you die and it's your fault, you can feel free to blame the healer anyway since you have copious amounts of stamina and they should be able to keep you up.

On a serious note, the Frost badge trinket is very good. Do your dailies and weekly if you can. That's 19 badges/week without setting foot in ICC. Also doing VoA puts that figure up to 23.

Thanks for the info about stam. I guess thats all I really need for heroics. I do plan on raiding eventually, and I am worried about my threat issues getting worse. Right now the only way I see to up my damage/threat is to sacrifice stam. I guess I should wait until I finish out the T9 set before I worry about my stam, since the increase in stam from the set may offset the stam I would lose from the non set items. Maybe Im too much of a perfectionist when it comes to my tanking and healing, and Im seeing problems that arent that bad. Ill keep moving along and see what works and what doesnt.

Thanks again for the info.

On your way to grabbing the T9 gear, take a look at the off-set pieces from the vendor. The 245 shoulder and/or helm may be a better choice. You won't miss the 4-piece bonus while tanking heroics anyway.

I actually like the 4T9 for heroics. I use Barkskin often and having it come up sooner helps when you are out of healer range or pulling while they drink.
