Pretty sure these previews are confirming the impending truth.

My druid will no longer be my main in cata.

Why?

Seems like Boomkin will be more awesomer in Cata than ever before. No more crit capping on SF, Eclipse seems crazy fun and everyone loves mushrooms.

Latecomer to the party, sick for the last 3+ days and what not.

The new regrowth mechanic looks nice. Sounds like one of those things where they hope you target melee with RG hoping for AoE healing procs, keep WG on them for Revitalize procs, and continue spamming RJ an the ranged. 3 spells instead of 2, sounds like fun.

Un-dispelable barkskin sounds sexy, changes to HoTs will be fun.

I'll miss tree form, but it'll be nice to be able to do some damage without losing healing ability.

As of now the changes seem lackluster to me, I'm gonna have to see for sure what plays out. None of the changes really strike me as awesome. I knew they were going to fix the way eclipse worked, and the whole mushroom thing... Until I see how it works I'm not gonna bank on it being that great. It took them from when they introduced starfall as our 51 point talent to not that long ago to actually fix it to make it worthwhile. With that current trend I'm gonna just go ahead and say the mushroom is not going to be that great.

I am happy though that boomkin is viable in bgs and arena now. I actually find the starfall changes a little overtuned because it hits for way too hard for a fire and forget. Even in near 1k res and AMS up on my dk it'll crit me for 1.5k, but I'm glad to see druids are pretty ******* OP in all aspects of pvp now.

Q. Why are Restoration druids the only spec in the game not receiving a new spell?
A. Restoration druids are actually getting a fair bit. For one, Tree of Life is getting a whole new model (think Ancients of War) and will also “morph” some of your spells to do crazy things while in the form, such as cause Regrowth to be instant, or Lifebloom to apply two applications at once. Tranquility will be raid-wide. We’re also touching nearly every Restoration druid spell to make sure each has a niche and feels good. In general, playing a Restoration druid should feel a lot different (better!) in Cataclysm than it does today.

Q. What change are you most excited about?
A. Some of the new Balance talents for druids, like Solar Beam, which works like Freya’s spell where it instantly silences a target and they have to move out of the beam to get rid of the debuff.

Ok, so maybe I might want to still heal in cata. Insant regrowth and raid wide tranq sounds out of this ******* world.

Ya raid wide Tranq will be hot sauce and could making spec'ing into Tranq talents a must have for raiders.

How large is the beam? Is it like one step left, or will the silence actually matter? Otherwise it's more of an interrupt, no?

Where are you finding this information? It's not in the class preview and I didn't see it in the blue-tracker...

Or have I just missed it completely?

Smiley: nod

Instant Regrowth sound like all sorts of sweet stuff, and a ancient of war sounds like a fun form. Hope we grow huge too. Smiley: tongue Poor Tranq is an awesome spell in dire need of a remake to it's mechanics. Then again, I could probably say that about half the spells on my toolbar...

Ewww... that's just not right.

Yeah I'm sold on at least trying balance out.

New UI, shrooms-of-doom and the chance to make pokemon references all the time?
