Glyph ChoicesFollow

I just got dual spec. Resto/balance. My question now is which glyph should I use in the different specs. My main is a scribe so anything I choose will be cheap, there are just so many to choose from.

There's a complete run-down of resto glyphs in the sticky. A couple of solid choices for pre-80 might be:

Regrowth: 20% stronger heals, good stuff.
Swiftmend: Not consuming the HoT is nice, especially when tank healing.
Rebirth: 'Cause you are going to lose people while everyone is still learning the ropes.
Healing Touch: Put 5 talent points in Naturalist, and this is a nice quick heal pre-80.

I can vouch for Regrowth, Swiftmend, and Rebirth. I use all 3 on my resto spec. Will have to check my other 3 tonight when I can switch over to resto spec (at work currently).

I disagree with the above posts. Nobody even mentioned the Rapid Rejuvenation? It's a big buff to one of your best spells.

These are my 3:
Glyph of Rapid Rejuvenation
Glyph of Swiftmend
Glyph of Nourish(tank heal) OR Glyph of Wild Growth(raid heals)

Glyph of Rapid Rejuvenation is either overkill or lackluster while leveling. It works off of haste and while leveling you won't see a lot of that on your gear. It also screws up the duration of your HoTs, something that could be fatal if you're used to Rejuv lasting 21 seconds or whatever.

Doesn't matter anyway. If he's not level 80 then he won't be able to use the third major glyph yet, so I'd go with Regrowth and Rebirth (Unburdened Rebirt for minor glyph).

Once you hit 80 you'll want to switch out Regrowth and Rebirth. I went with Swiftmend, Nourish and Wild Growth because I heal heroics where a mix of tank and raid healing is king. Wild Growth for raid healing, Nourish for tank healing and Swiftmend is actually useful as a quick repair when you're rolling Rejuvenation on 5-10 people.

not as easy as it sounds. One thing, there are only 2 minor glyphs for trees. Nourish before 80? I went with the heals I use most. Doing OK, gotten 2 levels, mostly clean runs. Goes from is this guy a tank? to can I DPS for awhile, there is nothing to do! Thanks for all the help.
I have no desire to quest or DPS really, ques are instant....I wait 7 minutes once: gasp!

Sorry, I failed to look at the armory so my glyph suggestions were on the scope of a level 80. Maz's suggestions for glyphs are right on par for leveling purposes.

If you're still leveling then I'm assuming you only have two major glyph slots available. I'd go with Wrath and Moonfire.

Applying Moonfire and spamming Wrath is pretty much what it's all about while soloing and you won't get enough bang for the buck with the Starfire glyph as mobs should die before Moonfire runs out. Innervate glyph basically adds some extra mana regen while soloing and enables you to get some mana back even if you pop Innervate on others. Should rarely happen while soloing (standard Innervate is enough), so I'd wait with that one.

At 80 I'd go with the Starfire, Moonfire and Insect Swarm glyphs, though I don't know if this is still the standard setup now that Starfall has been buffed.

Standard is now Starfall, Starfire and Moonfire.

As far as leveling, it really depends on how you like to level. I think it's fun to get big groups of mobs and aoe them down. The nice thing is that a glyphed starfall will have the same CD and barkskin. A common thing I did was run to the middle of a large group, starfall>barkskin>hurricane. The barkskin gives you even more damage reduction to your already beefy(for a caster) armor. Since the buff to starfall, our 51-point talent really has a chance to shine, so I would use it to it's full potential.
