Cataclysm Class Preview: PriestFollow

I felt the same exact way during a Heroic Gundrak. We had a newer pally in the group and he didn't seem to get the concept of staying out of the purple stuff on the ground. Needless to say I could of saved a rez if I had that spell.

With the class previews all out now, I don't see my main changing.

I've still never leveled a shaman so their changes don't influence me.

I like the paladin class and will continue to play my pally here and there. But paladin healing has always felt kind of... thematically disorganized. I never felt their tools worked together all that well. The preview feels like they're going to throw a couple more buttons on the bar (which is not a bad thing), but they're still going to be a bunch of buttons with no unifying principle tying them together. I know that sounds odd but it's really just a long way of saying the healing style never clicked with me that well and I don't think it's going to change enough to suddenly feel natural to me.

The druid changes look okay, particularly considering that I'm going to race change mine to a troll and I can actually look like a troll and do the cool troll dance while still healing. I know many of the more serious/seasoned druids (i.e., real druids, not like me) are bitter over the change to tree form, but not being able to cast offensive spells bugged me personally, so I'm behind that. Still. They don't get Lifegrip.

Priest changes win. It's the same class, now with even more priestiness.

Anyone else more excited about another healer now than they are about their priest?

Leap of Faith (level 85): Pull a party or raid member to your location. Leap of Faith (or "Life Grip") is intended to give priests a tool to help rescue fellow players who have pulled aggro, are being focused on in PvP, or just can't seem to get out of the fire in time. Instant. 30-yard range. 45-second cooldown.

This is a terrific power, but I shudder to think how much it will be used for griefing in PuGs, especially in BGs. Or in dungeons with lava.

Honestly, I don't know what they were thinking when they gave this to the same class that possesses Levitate.

Anyone who'se played a DK before will know how that will (not) work =(

"Can't do that while moving."

"Can't cast that right now."

I'm going to laugh when they give Life Grip a .1 second cast time just to ***** with us.

To be honest, .1 second is more or less enough to cast it on the move because of lag. I can practically cast Mass Dispel on the move if I time it right.
