I have noticed lately that my threat has topped out at around 6K tps. I have a 5400 gear score, and am successfully co-tanking ICC-10 through Saurfang. The guild I am in is a casual raiding guild so we work slower than most.
On Tuesday Patchwerk was the weekly. The guild gathers 16 people to run the weekly. The pull begins with a DK and two pally tanks. The DK opens up at around 8-9k tps, no hunters or rogues in the group, so that is his threat. I am running 5-6k tps and the other pally 4-5k tps. During Heroism, DK hits about 13k tps and I settle in around 7k tps. The DK outgears me, and has a gear score of 5600 I think.
I know the 9-6-9 rotation and use AS every time it is off cooldown. I use SoR after Judging vengeance. We always have a Dranei in the group so that helps me make hit cap.
I am looking for advice or answers.

AS isn't worth weaving into the rotation unless you glyph it. If you aren't MT'ing that particular fight your HS isn't doing alot for you in terms of threat. I know when i MT patch i'm in the 12k tps range the entire time, higher at the start as i pull with wings up usually. Also because of shield mechanics there's no good reason to have anyone but a pally MT that fight, let the higher hp tanks(druids/dks) soak the strikes. Being in the 7k tps range seems very reasonable given your gear, so unless you have latency issues that are adding time to your 969 you're doing as well as your current gear will allow.
