How Big will Pyroblast Crits beFollow
With Pyro now benefiting from TTW and Empowered Fire I really wondering how big we can get those Pyro crits. That may be the reason for the change with Burning Soul.

I was Arcane, as was Evilwillow; Moiste was Fireball specced. You can take a look through the damage reports to see how it performed for him.
For our kills (using overall damage) I did 0.94% more damage than he did, so about a 1% difference is really respectable.
The issue was that with fights that were DPS races, on Bloodqueen especially, I was the third person to be bit (Moist was first, who then bit Lerentis, and on the third bite I was picked), I ended up beating him in total damage for the entire fight (and that is with no IA, etc). My damage done is low (for me) on two fights: Rotface (picked 4 times with Mutated, most of anyone), and Princes as I am assigned to cover the entire front section's kinetic bombs to which I just use a mouseover ice lance macro most of the time...
Has fire become more competitive? Yes. Has it surpassed arcane? Not that I can tell. I may try fire next week for those same bosses to see how I do in comparison to take out the 'player' problem from it (although I haven't played fire since... umm... Ulduar/beginning of ToC?)

Pyroblast still has issues. If you look at the logs Anobix provided, you'll see why. On average, fireball crits for more that Pyroblast. That old "flavor" of the spell as a slow, heavy hitter is gone.

Though the total damage of the spell (including its dots) pushes it past the mark of fireball I believe. And don't forget it did that damage in a GCD (effectively) rather than a 2second cast. That and using the pyroblast gives you the uptime for the 2pc T10, so it is still necessary. I would guess they come out to be about even, with pyro doing more DPS because it is an instant cast, but fireball hitting harder (as noted).
DPS in raids aside, I love Pyroblast crits. Can you imagine what happens if you get a Hot Streak proc in PvP?
Well from some reports on EJ, Pyro is not currently benefiting from TTW (derp by Blizzard) GC is currently looking into it.
Wow, that's a big thing to miss on blizz's part. 12% is huge.

Speaking of pyro crits in pvp Moz, try this, fire shatters in this post:
If you know someone is stuck in a frost nova (this is with a fire/shatter build using ffb) ffb in their face and chain a dragon's breath to hold them still. Then ffb again while they are wandering around disoriented and fire blast then use the hot streak proc you almost certainly have. Combine with combustion to taste. The sheer numbers and size of the crits (ice shards affects ffb and it ALSO ignites) kills basically anything.
edit: put living bomb on before starting this combo, it should explode sometime around the pyro hit. I love how the ticks from it and ignite don't break dragon's breath.

My Pyro crits are doing 13.5K without a +SD buff.
