So I'm at the Stadium in Hellfire today with my hunter, trying to get the quest done for my trinket. This shadow priest - of my exact same level - is there. I assume he's just doing his quest so I wait politely for him to cap it, he's fixin' to leave, I fly on down. While I'm still in the air, he casts DP and SW:P on me. By the time I land and dismount, I am dead. I run back, he's gone, so I sit on my mount and wait for it to cap. He comes back. I have no time to fight cause it's almost bus stop time, so I just fly off. He throws DP and SW:P on me as I fly away. I die in two ticks and fall off my mount.

Dead in two ticks. Twice.

Priests rule.

You can't have had much HP then, just arrived in outlands?
As I remember tearing shadowpriests a new one while leveling my orc hunter. (as well as DK's, locks and just about anyone else though... Bestial Wrath kicks ***)

Yabbut. Crucial difference: you don't suck. I never even got off my mount. I was in a hurry and trying to avoid a fight, just seeing if I could knock out the quest quick.

Yeah, that explains it.
And rule 1 for BM PvP:
Do not think. Just charge in and blow cooldowns, then teabag the corpses left behind.

I hate going up against shadowpriests on my mage. I guess I've been doing it wrong so far by not using poly, but it just feels like we're both standing there not using any kind of CC/snare, trying to make sure the other one dies before me. That said, I could probably kill 'm with ease if I went for a poly+spellsteal streak+Arcane Blast streak with a well times counterspell.

I dunno about Shadow, but I hate facing mages as Disc. Spellsteal is so wrong. And diminishing returns on Poly is a lie. Give me a good old fashioned melee class to fight any day of the week.

SW:Death the mage while he casts his first poly, the damage you take breaks sheep.

That said, it's easier said than done.

Yeah, this is my problem with WoW. I know what needs to be done. But by the time my fingers actually do it, twelve second have gone by. Smiley: lol I miss Frogger. My reflexes were fine for Frogger.

Silence, dot dot dot, disperse. Come out with a psychic horror, get in close and fear, dots/mind blast SW:D. So good!
