Question about BoA gear.Follow

So I'm thinking about rolling a Warrior. It is the only class I have yet to really try out. I made a Warlock and she has all the BoA she can get (minus the Ring because I don't see me getting that any time soon) and have enjoyed the EXP bonus, so much my Warlock has done 0 questing once she hit 15. All her levels have came from BGs and Randoms (and she is now lv38).

So my question about the BoA gear is: Will I have to get the Mail set 1st..and then at 40 get the plate set? Or can I just get the plate set and wear it from lv 1?
