That makes ret so much fun, but so OP.

Mind you I've been BG leveling my paladin from 66 and I'm currently on the cusp of dinging 69 from mostly BGS.

I'm twinked out as best I can be w/o putting much more effort into it, but damn. Ret literally destroys everything. I've found very few people able to go 1v1 with me and nine times out of ten if they do its another paladin.

What is it about this spec that makes it so much?

I would say stuns, LOH, bubble, FOL....Is it enough?

In my experience it has alot to do with the massive amount of holy damage thats dealt out, as well as the utility you more or less have a button for any situation.

Same reasons death knights are so powerful.

Without turning the entire thread into a discussion about the current state of PvP, Death Knights barely have 'a button for any situation'. The problem with them is that they are kited extremely easily. It takes me a silence, Death Grip, Anti-Magic shell and Chains of Ice (all on the GCD) to reliably get a mage in my range at which point I still have to put up one disease before I can unload my nuke. If they ice block when all this is happening, I can't kill them and have to wait at least a minute before I have another shot at it.

That said , I guess retadins face exactly the same problem against well played mages. It's just that in a DK's case the mage doesn't even have to be played well in order to kite him, because he has 5 GCDs X 1.5 = 7.5 seconds to react to what I'm doing from the point where I throw my silence on him (which ends 2.5 seconds before my initial setup is actually done). If he hasn't Ice Blocked or blinked by then he has to be a complete scrub.

Enjoy it while it lasts! At lower levels other classes generally either haven't got the required kiting abilities or haven't become very practiced with them (it's harder to kite someone than to stick on them and smash faces). Ret is very much more balanced at 80 in pvp gear.

Yeah I finally leveled my pally to 70. I did have trouble with some mages though that actually knew what they were doing. Mostly it just came down to breaking their ice armor thing (mage is like the one class I've never leveled) and then forcing the blink into a rep/stun/pwnd.

Toilet paper armor = fun.
