Been 80 for 3 weeks now and I love my mage...but I'm like really bad on him, or i'm just really bad..

See anything I'm doing wrong or could change for spec/gear ? I have like over 400 hit which sucks
I do roughly ~5k dps on 25 man encounters and thats like bottom of the barrel right now
If any bored pro mages could take a quick peek at my stuff that would be nice

edit: I know I need upgrades, but are my gems/enchants an stuff looking good?

Overall no glaring mistakes in gear/enchants/gems (at least for the color). I like to think that if it is ilvl 232+ I put epic gems in it, but that isn't super important. You definitely need to drop about 200 hit and pick up a good amount of haste.
what rotation/priority system are you using for your spells?

So when are you using missile barrage?
You realize that you basically should be using mbar anytime that it is up, right? There isn't much reason to keep ABing when you already have the proc, especially when you ahve t10 2pc.
Idig is referring to people to 'Q for instances', not 'queue for instances' as it is actually spelled.

I've been using MB when I need to switch targets, I'll open with it. Or if I'm feeling like my mana is getting low i'll start going to a strict 3 or 4 stack cast..
I always thought the goal of arcane was to cast as many AB without going OOM
I'll have to try a strict rotation and see what kind of improvement I can get

You don't want a strict rotation. You want to use your procs when you get them. The goal is to keep up your +12% Haste at all times. That's better DpS than spamming AB (plus, I have no clue how you don't go OOM if all you do is that.
As for spell queuing, I mean, "When do you start casting your next spell?"
What I'm dicsovering more and more people don't know is that you can literally always be casting.
Look at it this way:
[-------]
Say this is a cast bar for a 2-second cast-time ability. After this one, you are going to cast that same ability. Overall, it will take 4 seconds to cast them. However...
[-------]<here>
If you wait until that point to start casting your spell, due to server and interface lag, it will take you longer than 4 seconds to complete those two spells. Maybe something like this:
[-------] [-------]
But, if you hit the button for your second cast before the first one is up (I don't remember how long before it finishes you can start--I just feel it out. One of these days I'll install quartz...)
So, if you do this: (<> represents pressing the button)
[-----<>--]
The result will be:
[-------][-------]
If you cast 60 2 seconds spells without queuing, that can easily lead to a huge drop in DpS. 150 ms latency means that you can lose 7.5% of your potential spells in that fight.
So, always be sure to hit your next spell before the previous is up. And, if you are worried about clipping, put a [nochanneling] tag in macros for your AB.

that hasn't been true since tier5 in TBC with the 2pc set bonus.
arcane is about maximizing your dps and mps (mana per second) together. The general idea is ABSpam0234Mbam is the normal 'priority' cutting back on those if necessary, or when you hit 4 stacks if you don't have an mbar proc using AM to get rid of the debuff and start restacking.
The aforementioned code means cast AB until you get a mbar (missile barrage) proc. If you have that at 0, 2,3,4 stacks of arcane blast debuff use it, then start restacking. rinse and repeat.
