I've been reading up on mind control, and maybe i missed it somewhere, but what stat affects mind control? Is it Spirit like healing or intellect?

Hit rating and spell penetration affect Mind Control.

It is treated like a spell and must "hit" its target to begin with. After a successful hit, the target gets periodic resist rolls which can cause an early break if successful. SpPen can help in pvp to prolong your MC by negating the target's shadow resistance on these resist rolls.

I don't understand the question. Mind Control is a shadow spell. It is not affected by either intellect or spirit, except to the extent that you have enough mana to cast it. It can miss, so your hit will affect it, and it can be resisted, so a mob with shadow resistance has an increased chance of resisting or breaking it early. The controlled mob/player retains its own stats, health, mana, and abilities, so your intellect or spirit or other stats have no impact there.

edit: Trylofer wins the typing race. :)

He's seen how I MC everyone and make them transfer to Kazzak and wanted to copy me to get more awesome on his own server. I thought that was obvious.

Naxx was the raid weekly this week.

I got to MC a pally off the area with the summoning stone.

I like MC.

Sorry to necro, but for the record, it is also subject to range. If you move the mob/player outside of the range of your shadow spells, the MC will break. Shadow tree has talents (which every spriest will take) to increase the range for this and mostly other spells.
