What's up forum? I had quit wow bout 8 months ago, but recently a friend convinced me to come back. Decided to pick up my shammy, which i hadn't played since middle of BC.
Currently im level 77. I had been leveling ele, so i could just share gear w/ resto when i got into groups. But i finally collected enough gear to try out enh. Ran VH (reg) and by the end of the instance i had my bars all set up, and had a decent rotation in going. Cyanigosa comes up...I pull 2.4k dps. I was very happy. Used wolves, fire ele, blood lust, berserk (im troll). Ran a few more instances after that, my dps peaked out at 940 dps.
Sp my question is, why does my dps suck?. My current rotation is FS, LL, SS, ES, MW5-LB, Fire Nova, LB, Repeat.

As elemental, my average dps was around 1.5-1.7k. My gear for ele and enh are pretty close in level, so i was hoping for enh to do about the same dmg.
And as a side note. As elemental, I never went oom, and enh I go oom almost instantly, even when using shamanistic rage every 1min, WS up full time.

A few tips:
a) There is no rotation. There's a priority list. That list looks like:
1) Spirit Wolves
2) LB (MW5)
3) SS
4) FS (replace with ES if FS DoT is on target)
5) Magma Totem
6) LL
Never cast Lightning Bolt/Chain Lightning unless you've got 5 stacks of Maelstrom Weapon.
2) Fire Nova is an AoE dps tool, not a standard part of your rotation. Drop Fire Nova from your rotation unless you're sitting on tons of mana and your mana issues will decrease substantially.
Also, check to make sure your weapon skills are maxxed. If not, even with awesome weapons, your DPS will severly suffer.
