What do kitties do for shorter rotations?Follow

I know the regular kitty rotation pretty well. What do they usually do for fights like Deathwhisper where certain adds won't really stay up that long in the first place? Obviously Rip won't have any benefit, so I'll probably FB instead. Should I still be keeping rake up?

Mangle spam and make sure SR is up at all times.

Maim, for the stun, would be the best finisher for that fight. Also Main is cheaper than FB and not losing all your energy to FB is always nice.

But more focus on keeping SR running at all times for the boost to melee damage.

Is Mangle spam really better for shorter fights? I thought Shred did much more damage than Mangle.

I thought you would know that I meant Shred but wrote Mangle to test you.

I thought the test was the Maim/Main thing.

Depends on what kind of rotation. If they are chasing their tail then if they aim more towards the middle of their tail rather than the tip their spin will be a bit shorter and more compact.

You can of course help them along by getting a pottery wheel, duct taping them to it, and spinning them yourself. This results in a much short and faster rotation than a kitty can offer itself.

With that said I have absolutely no idea why you're concerned with rotation kittens :-\

As Maz so aptly pointed out my 1st response was terrible.

Well the main point of focusing on SR with CPs was right but the Mangle love and spelling errors were bad.

You should Shred as it is more DPS after Mangle debuff is up, which hopefully you don't put up.

If you have a good tank, just rip a target, savage roar and proceed to swipe and win. If your tank sucks then shred.

Totally missed the OPs question. Also involving Rip and SR implies a longer rotation.

I assume it was a slip of the "tongue" and he intended to put rake.

In much the same way as you put mangle instead of shred (to test us).

I would think a one combo point Savage Roar followed by Mangle then Shred and a Ferocious Bite at 4-5 combo points would suffice. In short fights I find bleeds are utterly worthless.

Having read some of the posts here, I believe I know what to do.

1. Apply Blessing of the Wild.
2. Engage tank with Mangle ***** on Shred by Rip and Savage Roar, in a pirouette with some tail action and Main.
3. ???
4. Profit? Smiley: dubious

Yeah yeah i meant to say rake instead of rip. Also, mangling before a shred should be automatic so that was implied. But on deathwhisper there really isn't much time for more then some kitty swipes and if you are building cp's, just refresh savage roar before they die so you can swipe more on the next set.
