Way, way, way, way, way back in BC I had a hunter. Decided, sometime in the past month to level up to 80, so I did. Leveled as SV, got some badge gear, switched over to MM. Use the spreadsheet, and am still trying to get the ring out of H:Pit. Here he is:

Tanthalas

I used the Aeth's FAQ here to spec and glyph. Made some minor adjustments to the spec, taking out focused aim since my gear has plenty of hit on it, put those points into TSA and Imp: HM, since I am most likely going to be PuGing raids, and have no clue of the make-up or even if I will have other hunters in the raid. So I took those points, figuring worst case scenario it will still be a boost to my personal DPS.

My issue is with rotation. I got very comfortable as SV and only worrying about cooldowns, nevery really had to use steady shot. Which is kind of funny because back in BC I was BM, where you had to weave your steady shots inbetween autoshots. I have a very hard time getting use to that having a cast time, and find myself moving before it fires...

Anyway, I read somewhere that since silent shot was off the GCD, I should macro it to all of my spells, so I do that. I have enough ArP to take Arcane out of my rotation unless I am running around. I am basically casting Serpent Sting, Chimera, Aimed, then multiple Steadies until Chimera comes off CD, then repeat. That's pretty much it right?

I haven't raided with him except for Patchwork on 10-man. I was dissapointed in my DPS though. it was only 4500, I know one of my *****-ups was that I forgot to send my wolf in... What's that an additional 500 dps? 200?

Any advice on what I should change?

Pet is like 1k dps.

Also, I can't be ***** to check your armory but it's indeed just Chimera > (Kill shot >) Aimed > Steady until Chimera is off cooldown.

Oh yeah, forgot to even mention kill shot... So Chimera > Kill > Aimed? Doesn't this throw off your cooldown rotation? I mean shouldn't Kill fall before or after Chimera>aimed, rather than inbetween.

Seems to me if you go Chimera > Kill > Aimed, after chimera's 10 second cooldown, you would then have 3 seconds(or however much your GCD has been reduced by haste) until aimed is off cooldown. I guess you could throw a steady in there, but wouldn't it be easier, and cleaner, for rotations sake to maintain chimera and aimed following right behind each other since they both have a 10 second cooldown?

Chimera Cooldown 10 sec
Kill shot cooldown 9 sec
Aimed Shot cooldown 10 sec

So you end up delaying your Kill shots by 1 second, which isn't bad because shooting kill shot first means you're delaying Aimed and Chimera 0.5 seconds each cooldown.

Kill shot glyph.... man I'm dumb sometimes. I was still thinking Kill shot cooldown was 15 seconds, I don't know why I kept thinking the glyph increased it's damage.

Aethien whats your avatar from? driving me nuts, I've seen it somewhere but can't say where, and a generic description of an anime chick in a skimptastic maid outifit is a little difficult to google....

Also, Hunters rock, sorry for the derail.
