Is there a stat that governs the ammount of energy a Druid has? As stamina is to health, is spirit or something else linked to energy? While DPS'ing I keep hearing that depressing "Not enough energy". at least it doesn't say "Not enough energy yet, stop trying for a minute and let it rebuild!"

Energy is fixed and builds at its own rate. The ability cost and regeneration rate is designed specifically to force your attacks to be paced and carefully considered.
I suggest turning off that "not enough energy" warning, you're going to hear it a lot as you get higher levels

Without trying to be mean...but how did you get all the way to level 61 without knowing one of the most basic mechanics of this game?
I suggest you read up a little more about the basics, it will help you make good gear and talent choices along with making any group experiences a little more enjoyable as you will probably perform better.
