Hey all, I took a three-month break from WoW awhile back...Basically the end of 3.1 until patch 3.3. Problem is, my guild was falling apart before I took the break, and when I got back, my guild had disbanded completely. I just ****** around for the last month or so and finally joined a new raiding guild again the other day. Since I took that break (and haven't had people to raid with lately), half my gear is old 200-lvl stuff, and the other half is stuff I could buy with tokens or gold (like Merlin's Robe, Sash of Ancient Power, etc.)...Could any of you pros out there eyeball my Armory parse and give me a rough guess of what content you think I can handle (assuming I'm using cookie-cutter builds and rotations)? I have no idea what DPS I can expect in 10- and 25-man raids since it's been so long; does it look like I'd be able to keep up in 10-man ICC, at least?

Here's my parse (if I'm not wearing PvP trinkets, you're looking at my correct raiding gear...a couple of my items are those PvP welfare epics with +hit on them, like the hood and cloak):

Thanks in advance,

Wax

PS: Question: For Affliction, does Nevermelting Ice Crystal still allow Corruption to be soft-reset with the stat bonuses that it was originally cast with?

Unfortunately, I think your gear looks a little too low to plunge into ICC10 with. I am assuming you'd be pugging it since your guild fell apart while you were away. In case you haven't discovered this yet, and you probably already have, with the ease of obtaining Emblem of Triumph (EoT) gear through heroics and the new LFD system people are again becoming elitists and expecting high-level gear and 4k+ dps to just run heroics.

However, that is the good news. For people like you who have taken a break from WoW, it won't be such a wall to get back to being decently geared for the new tier of raiding. I'd suggest just running some heroics and replacing your i200 gear with some i232s and i245s before attempting to run ICC. Additionally, at least on my server, I notice people are still actively pugging ToC10/25, so you might be able to slip into one of those and get some upgrades. Also, try to run VoA10/25 weekly and hope you get a lucky drop. Finally, make sure you run the new weekly raid (which is obtained from the guy in Dalaran who previously gave you the daily heroic) since that nets you 5 Emblems of Frost (the current emblem for T10/ICC gear) and 5 EoT. The gear will come fast.

Your spec looks fine except I question why you chose Improved Life Tap as well as Demonic Pact. I'd suggest keeping Demonic Pact and putting those two points from Improved Life Tap into Suppression to max it out. They've changed the Glyph of Life Tap so that Demonic Pact procs it as well.

According to EJ, Corruption does not refresh +crit bonuses (though it does for +haste and +SP), so yes, activate your NIC trinket just before you apply Corruption and that will keep its effect rolling.

ICC10 might be a bit of a stretch. You want to change out that Illusion trinket. 100 SP's fine, but even just picking up Mark of the Prisoner from VH would do you more good. Aim for the Shard of the Crystal Heart. Try running PoS a bit more, grab Ward of the Violet Citadel with badges and use the Surgeon's Needle off first boss (it drops a lot), hope for Seethe in FoS. Bracers go 23 SP. Later you'll find yourself awash with hit, and will want to change a lot of those hit gems. ToC is great for gearing up, there are plenty of quality pieces with mixed. Spec looks fine, you might cut the points from imp LT/imp Drain Soul and throw them in Fel Concentration but they're more floater points (with DP) along with Suppression which depends on your hit but I don't see anything real wrong with it.

Farm ToC5 - Regular for Abyssal Rune, IotDS from 25OS-No drake, and get 1h/offhand asap from new ICC 5 mans offer ulduar25 quality and require 1/5th of the people. I would recommend picking up a destro build for 5mans as most people are doing 4-5k dps **** dies way to fast.
