Ok, let me start by saying that RAWR is, as a frost mage, absolutely worthless. Even with the most up to date version, I pull around twice the DPS it says I should. It gives absolutely terrible gear priorities for me, and it's obvious that the rawr dudes need to pay me to re-write their frost formulae >.>
I'm in a bit of a pickle. I've got a robe that's 2 tiers of content behind. I'm slowly saving up for the Merlin's Robe, but on my server we have an AH manipulator that buys all the decently priced ones (under 7K) and marks them up to the cost of a battered hilt. The other day when I checked, MR were selling for 18-20K. This is NOT an option for me, as I'm terrible at saving money in the first place.
Is there a robe, obtainable in 10 mans, that I'm missing while combing over atlas loot? I'm thinking with a semi-decent robe, I can bring my numbers up to soaring levels.
I have the 225(226?) T8 chest. It has more SP than the T9 one, so that isn't an option, unless I'm missing something vital about it.
Alternatively, would it be smarter for me to pick a second piece of T8 out of the bank and just stick with that bonus?
I'm lost here, and I would really appreciate some help. I'm only staying around 50 DPS above our arcane mage, and I don't like that :D

I would save up frost badges for the T10 pieces, do you have any of them yet? If not what are you spending them on?
A tight schedule meant that I missed a TON of badges. In ICC, I tend to be on my Druid for Marrowgar and my pally or DK for Deathwhisper. Saurfang is the only 2 badges my mage often gets.

Crusader orbs and dream shards are quick and easy to get. Can you just find a tailor who has some cloth who can sell that to you and make Merlin's Robe for you? There are also two robes in TOC25/TOGC25, one with hit, one without. TOC25 is pretty puggable I think, at least up to Twins. Also, for the frost badges, the daily only takes a few minutes, and the weekly, just a few minutes more, so that's almost 20 badges a week you could get there. Edit: and also make them give you the token from Saurfang lol!

Also, my mage isn't my main. So when I do get a few minutes to rush through a dungeon, it's on my pally.
This is the ****** part about being a GM: You do what will progress the guild, not your characters :(
I do feel like an idiot though. For some reason, I was thinking Merlin's Robe was a BoE drop out of ToC 25. Normally I'm 'hip' on where items come from and the such, but this time I dropped the ball.
Also, my mage isn't my main. So when I do get a few minutes to rush through a dungeon, it's on my pally.
