So I was browsing around and I came across a topic on mmo champs about if hunters need haste.
Now I remember awhile ago reading that hunters should get haste to soft cap to get SS down to 1.5 sec so that it matches the GCD. After reading the forums people are now saying that haste is completely worthless to hunters and that ideally we should not have any.
I always thought haste was good especially in an MM arp build since haste reduced the time between auto shots and since auto shot is one of 3 physical attacks that getting more auto shots off meant more overall dmg/dps whatever.
I was reading that with I guess 0 haste that your steadies would be 1.75 seconds and would still be able to get 4 off before you were able to shoot chimera/aimed again, but all during that time we would be losing auto shots too, right?

For sv and mm you are better off stacking agil over haste.
Because agil will benefit from all your attacks yellow or white.
But haste only will increase your auto shots and steady shots.
For arp mm spec you will need too go for arp gear mostly and that wont give you alot of room too stack haste.
But even if it did agil would probably still win as statt after your arp cap.

I'm not talking about stacking haste. I would never gem haste. But when it comes down to taking like something with haste over something with hit I would do it. Being over hit cap I don't need more hit, therefore haste I would think would benefit me more.
This isn't really about stacking agi since all phys dps gear has agi on it, it's just choosing crit or haste or hit.

I think that crit would win from haste for the same reason agil would.
Haste only affects steady and autoshot, crit will affect all shots.
If you should take haste over hit cap well that kind of should be a no brainer.

Strangely, when looking at potential raid PuGs if they are hunters a low mana pool and thus low Int is a major indication of bad gear.
