Hey guys. http://www.wowarmory.com/character-sheet.xml?r=Spinebreaker&cn=Ar%C3%A8s Here is my armory for my ele shaman. Just hit 80 a few days ago and was trying to look around for some immediate upgrades and as you can see I bought a few various items off the AH. I am wondering if there's any other things I can get some what easily through AH, heroics, etc that would be good upgrades. Also, I am wondering when I start getting more and more gem slots what I should be aiming for. I realize hit is very important but after that SP, Haste, crit in that order? Thanks in advance for any responses.

Doing pretty good, you've got some hit rating. Which is saying something. You need some more, I believe 14% is the magic number.
More gem slots begin appearing on gear the higher iLevel it is, I've noticed.
Get the trinket from H VH. Otherwise, badge gear. Grab the weapon from H ToC, (5 man of course) and then move up to the one H Pit of Saron. Necklace needs a good upgrade, look into the crafted iLevel 200 one or the 232 from H Forge of Souls. Look into the pants from H CoS.

All I can say is run H ToC a lot. There's a good set of shoulders, weapon, ring, chest piece, trinkets, and a few others I can't think of right away. Most of the badge gear is resto stuff so grind H ToC and the new instances (on normal). But yeah, a lot of good mail drops in H ToC and the SP dagger is one of them.
Out of curiosity, what kind of DPS are you pushing, folsomdog?

Please "talk up" if your comprehension white-shifts. I will use simple-happy language-words to help you understand.
Ehh...anywhere from 2.4k-2.9k average through the whole instance. Probably a bit less on bosses because I have CL and Nova as aoe on trash pulls.

14% is for raid bosses. It's only 6% for heroic bosses. He's got more than enough for now, and then there's the 128 hit rating trinkets for Triumph emblems.
Even the ToC normal gear (particularly the cloth) would be decent upgrades, not to mention fairly farmable.
If you're not sick of the place that is.
Oh, don't be completely turned off by mp5/spirit gear either. They may still be upgrades.
