They were good days.

I've been running BC heroics on my druid to get the achievements, and it brought back so many good memories of this hard spot, or that technical pull. BC heroics were really amazing. Aside from the fire *****. She can go die in a lake of ice.

It really is a shame that they dumbed down the heroics so much. I'd be willing to bet that none of the hunters that started the game after Wotlk even know what the basics of trapping are let alone how to do it.

I really hope the next expansion brings back crowd control in 5-mans because they really are way to easy now.

Lol, my guild leader has us crowd control mobs inside of Forge of Souls. Everyone is really rusty, but some of us can do it.

We have a dwarf hunter who insists upon this method. He would put his tramp down, then distracting shot the mob and run. As you can gueess many complications would arise.

I just use freezing arrow before the pull. Same effect easier placement for less ***** ups.

My husband's youngest brother started playing about a month ago. He's surprisingly good so far as new hunters go (and loves his pets...sooo funny to hear him talking to his bat) but he's kind of clueless when it comes to traps. I've tried to help him out, and he's gotten a little better, but he still has issues even with trap + tame. At least it won't hurt him at endgame, but it makes me a little sad all the same.

Yeah I kinda miss the days when trapping could be a really important skill. Chain trapping mobs like on the butler in kara was really fun back in the day. Now the only trapping i do is rooting with my druid during saurfang between heals... Used to be being a good hunter wasn't just rocking the meters.

I also miss having to CC with my Hunter. At first it was annoying, but the better I got at it, the more I liked it, and I got pretty good I think :) Now, it's just Volley spam most of the time, which is boring. Occasionally, like on phase changes, I'll manage to use my damaging traps, but freezing things? Not so much :(

/sign in hoping Cataclysm brings back some CC.

I feel like I just witnessed something big. Epic, even. Aethien telling someone on the Hunter forum that he "[doesn't] know, [he's] a druid now" ... Definitely epic.

I had to come here because Maz cross-posted something interesting in the druid thread. :p

I remember practicing this like crazy back when I was leveling my hunter. One of those skills people told me I was expected to have at the level cap, so I better learn it. I got such a sense of satisfaction the first few times I did it right. Groups really appreciated it too.

Was on my hunter a while back, and got myself into a normal nexus (he's still languishing at 71). The tank was giving me hell because I had poor DPS (it was like 750ish or something, I don't really know if that's bad or not... *shrugs*). Funny thing is after we finished I remembered Volley didn't have a 5 minute CD anymore, go figure.

<--- felt like a noob all over again. XD

I think my healing corrupted Aethien.

That being said, when he first talked about Volley in game I was thoroughly confused. "Wait, what? Hunters can AoE now?"

I knew that no one CC'd anymore, which is sad even if it's just easy CC like sheeping we're talking about.

OK, who stole Aethien's account and is trying to impersonate him?

Don't ever remember this kind of reaction out of him. Wasn't even sarcastic or demeaning (dang I wish I could spell, LOL) Could he have totally defected?

with all of the PDAs (that's Public Displays of Affection) you two are doing across the boards, we're going to have to rent you a room.

This is when I wish I had premium so I could put in a Smiley: tongue emoticon.

Meh, it's only because we both know we can't do anything apart from PDA's. Our Skype chats are completely tame.

Every time we do that, we just end up talking about UI improvements or Dutch grammar.
