I used to do quite a bit of tanking before but months ago I've thrown it to the side for a Healer/DPS dual spec. I'd like to go back to it but I've been inundated with two different points of view on the matter. My gear before consisted of two different types. The main body armor was of course bits of Rogue gear. Agi/Stam, attack, crit and hit. My accessories and cloak generally consisted of Tanking gear. Str/stam, defense, dodge, hit.

Until recently...I thought that was very much normal. Now I'm being told I need the same gear in those accessory slots that I need in my main gear slots. Agi/stam...etc. The extra AGI of course adds dodge and crit which are excellent for mitigating damage, but defense rating not only adds chance to dodge but the chance for the mob to miss you as well. I'm torn. What gear do you use?

You're a tank, wear tank jewelery.

Well most of it, the actuality is complicated.

But 8.5/10 regular tank jewelery.

By jewelery I mean non-leather slots.

But even then not always, depends on stat distribution and stuff (something with parry or shield block is ultimately going to be a waste). There's also the occasional dps item that is just better itemized. My gear right now favors the ashen verdict dps ring over the tanking one, at every rep level of it.
