I was goofing around today and... I started a druid.

An Alliance druid.

It's not my fault. It's Strand of the Ancients weekend and I can hardly be blamed for coming up with other things to do to avoid that. And grinding Timbermaw feathers requires... breaks. (Only 30 turn-ins from Diplomat!)

I still have my Timbermaw Ancestor in the bank. Ah memories. Gratz on the Druid. It's fun to do some different things.

I'm using the everyquest addon and getting back to grinding for Loremaster. I know I'll get the Eastern Kingdoms done. Now, do I have the stamina to go back and finish up Kalimdor? We'll see how long I last.

An alliance druid? That means you're Night Elf?

Congratulations, you are now playing in one of the most awesome starting zones evar. Be sure to turn your music on! =)

Like you don't play a druid, Aeth. At least you make me abandon all my alts and focus on my priest.

No way dude. I always walk my nelfs to Elwynn as soon as I hit level 5. I did this well before there was a boat, too. Ah, the Wetlands walk, how I miss it.

I had a 70 night elf druid once. I stripped her of all her cash and deleted her long ago, though. I'm heartless like that.

It's going from Horde to Alliance.
How could you see the light yet venture back into the darkness?

I actually played Alliance for a really long time before I switched. It's the pretty towns. Plus which you're going to enjoy more is very server specific.

But should I ever take that druid into a battleground, I assure you I will be all, "Sorry, I don't heal gnomes."

This is actually the first time I'm playing Horde beyond level 25 or so. I always joined random people I know on their server, and at least most of my IRL acquaintance seem to play Alliance.

Plus, I really dislike Orgrimmar.

What do those people possibly have that we don't!?

I thought we had something special!

How could you!?

See, you saw the light.
I played Alliance for ages, until I rerolled Horde earlier this year and I'd never go back.
There's just no better or more relaxed place to hang out than Thunder Bluff, and I'm not saying that because them Taurens got all those "special" herbs.

Druids who aren't cows?

Should I end up leveling her, I'm sure I'll faction change her when troll druids become available. Smiley: nod

I confess I have a druid as well. She is level 22 atm but at least she is a cow! I have kinda got used to it now. I tend to swap from travel form to kitty form so I don't have to notice what she looks like...

I also found the faction playability can depend on your server. I have a range of Horde over 2 servers (PVE and PVP) and a bunch of Alliance on a PVE server. My Ally toons are very neglected these days but I log them every so often to go check out the new scenery in Stormwind. That harbour is so pretty!

teacake, please come visit the druid forums.

We have beer, vulgarity and ummm.... well we are easily distracted by random topics.

I'm sure I'll lurk a bit. Presently my "questions" are not exactly worthy of discussion. This was me last night:
"Wait, what's rip again?"
"Shouldn't I have some sort of pouncy thing?"
"What color hair do I pick to get the black panther?"
"Well what color panther goes with the green hair?"

Evidently, it's been a very long time.

"Wait, what's rip again?" - a finishing move you use, if you are level 75 get savage roar up first.
"Shouldn't I have some sort of pouncy thing?" - yes, you get it at level 36
"What color hair do I pick to get the black panther?" - dark blue
"Well what color panther goes with the green hair?" - blue with dark mane

Evidently, it's been a very long time.

Smiley: grin Thanks Horse! I did work all that out eventually. It's just funny how quickly you forget stuff. It seems it is not like riding a bike.

The green hair cat form? Hate.

I'll be sad when I eventually faction change this druid to a troll, to lose my pretty tiger though. And Alliance flight form is about a thousand times better.

Cats also don't have earrings, a pink skin and a necklace with a mirror.
Nelf cats look as gay as male bloodelves.

But there's me on the alliance side, so it all works out.
