Seal of Blood is gone?Follow

I've been away from the game obviously. I feel like such a noob again. My pally is 70 right now. And I admit I'm kinda lost on dps rotations (for levelling and perhaps 5 mans). What seal should I be using now? Vengeance? Command? And what about judgements? I really can't tell if Vengeance is better, it says it stacks 5 times. But that doesn't seem all that great for levelling. I remember things dying fairly fast when levelling. Ret seems so different now, I really would appreciate any help.

Yeah been gone some time. Veng/Corr is the seal for DPS at 80 on single targets that don't die too fast.

Leveling for you now I would use SoR for most things or SoCom(cleave) if you pulled a big pack. The 5 point talent in Holy "Seals of the Pure" boosts SoR quite nicely for fast dying leveling type targets where you wont have time to get to 5 stacks of corr/Veng.

So SoCom isn't just the standard leveling seal anymore?

yeah SOR was what looked best to me too. I just wanted to make sure. It seemed weird I'd be using a "low level" seal at this stage of the game. And I don't think my gear is good enough to be taking on multiple mobs (I'm not prot :))- I think SOC would be useful in 5 mans, but not solo levelling.

Thanks for the info. I kind of got sidetrack on playing my level 1 priest (now 27). The good thing about playing a low level too, is there is no catching up to do. That's the problem I had with my 69 pally. So much changed, it seemed hard to get back into the character and relearn everything. Where as starting at 1 you learn as you go. But eventually I'll play my higher level alts again.

Nope. Like Iron Chef Shojindo said SoComm has become is the new cleave seal now which is great for multi mob dpsing. SoR is kinda like the old SoM/Blood without the emo kill yourself aspect. SoV/Corruption is your seal of choice for boss fights or anything that takes longer to kill.

I guess that's cool, in ways. Only ever using one seal could get monotonous. But, at the same time, it's always a shame when you spend a talent point (for damage) and don't get any kind of return from it on a boss fight (when people actually care about your DpS). Kinda like Corpse Explosion, except you'll use SoComm a lot more.

At least it isn't an expensive talent. Still a shame, though.

Does this mean that your first 5 points as a Pally leveling ret should go into Holy?

Points should always go into ret I think. At low levels pulling more than one mob is inevitable, so Command is very useful, and even in single targets Command isnt far behind Righteousness. Add in the number of dungeons you will being with the new LFG and command is way more important. Not to mention that getting Crusader Strike five levels earlier is a good argument to put all your points into Retribution.
